Davies Resigned to Protect LSE Reputation After Libya Gift

www.bloomberg.com

Howard Davies said he resigned as director of the London School of Economics and Political Science, where U.S. President John F. Kennedy and billionaire George Soros once studied, to protect the university’s reputation.

It was a mistake to accept a 1.5 million-pound ($2.4 million) donation from Libya’s Gaddafi International Charity and Development Foundation and an error to accept a British government invitation to advise Libya on its investments, Davies told the British Broadcasting Corp. today.

And LSE's true colours come out...this is absolutely DISGUSTING.

And you know what? They've been training Libyans to be "leaders" and so on...they've been bribed to do this...and this gift on top of it. They should be hanging their hands in shame for helping those who are shedding the blood of innocent humans.

A leaked US diplomatic cable indicates the British government was also party to the deal to bring 400 Libyans to Britain for leadership training. The cable published by WikiLeaks suggests that other UK universities were involved in similar schemes, though there is no independent confirmation of this.

I wonder what else has been covered up and still waiting to be surfaced...

Edit to add:
Forget the fact he's a Libyan...rich people do this and urgh, using their money to get into affluent areas...what happened to hard work and prospering?

Apparently Gaddafi owns a whole bunch of investments in South Africa, too. Seems this guy has been all over the place. Interesting, though. Now we know where he learned to be dictator.
