Hi Everybody:
Over the weekend the following footage caught by security cameras (Saturday, 26 Feb) became available on the Internet of so-called police brutality.
Of course, police brutality itself is nothing new to SA (South Africa). Journalistic careers were made on white cops beating black "protesters" during the 1970s-80s.
Since the ANC rise to power police brutality was supposedly countered.
However, claim after claim of police brutality and regular torture remains.
The bodies charged with investigating and preventing it are over-burdened or corrupt.

This weekend police arrested 13 people after the following intrusion without a warrant on a Mellville pub.
The assault focuses on a gentleman who just came from the toilets, and didn't know what was happening.
I will post both available videos.
Please watch, and tell me if cops in YOUR country would do this to a man.
Are we (SA) normal? Is this normal?

Second video, from a different angle.

This happens to all kinds of people every day in SA.
If it wasn't for this video, nobody would have given a stuff.

The police had conflicting stories: they first claimed they raided the bar because it contravened the new liquor laws because it was open till 4 am (they must now stop serving alcohol at 2 am). Then they claimed people had thrown bottles at them from the balcony. Whatever the case, they had no right to assault people like this.
Without the footage these innocent people would have suffered judicial sanctions.
They employed the same brutality when they raided a bar in Stellenbosch, and a gay bar in Cape Town, where punters where insulted with homophobic slurs, and people were dragged around by their hair (punched, kicked and thrown down stairs).
People in this country fear the police as a bunch of gangsters.

This happens to all kinds of people every day in SA.
If it wasn't for this video, nobody would have given a stuff.

This is the latest article on it.

Once the footage was released shortly before important local elections of the brutality on 26 Feb 2011, there has been a movement from total disinterest to "we're doing something". (Although we all know nothing will be done - in a month or two the same violent cops will beat people again.)
The Times: www.timeslive.co.za...
Well, these cops were pretty dumb, usually they know how to take and erase the footage.

Ironic to think, if this happened under "apartheid" instead of the ridiculous choice under imposed "democracy", every campus in the world would have cared.
Some liberal would have written a song about it.
But I guess, now nobody needs to care anymore.
SA citizens are at the mercy of a socialist regime that the world is applauding itself for - so if we get kicked into internal bleeding now; it's an internal matter.
How nice.
I suppose the Mid-East has so much to look forward to.
Yeah, depose the "dictator", impose another one, and then we have "freedom".

Violent, unwittingly filmed bar-raid in Stellenbosch.
On going revelations revealed the cops tried to remove footage (took the wrong tape), and planted one bag of cannabis in the bar (which justified the raid, but nobody could be arrested for it).
Well a paper claimed that the faces of "two customers" who planted something under the bar were very similar to those of two cops who burst in Gestapo style later.
A lot of allegations over a tiny amount of grass, but the brutality is real.

Actually the last footage is very gripping.
www.myvideo.co.za...
When the cops burst in at the lowest level of the pub (which has 3 levels) they beat everyone to the ground.
All you see is a mass of broken bodies.
Reminds me of Pizarro.
Masses of Incas who came without weapons and tried to stand against Toledo steel with their bare hands.
OK, maybe a bit over-dramatic, but these pigs really don't care.

A major issue in the last video was also that they sprayed people with tear-gas who were on the ground, and discharged their firearms.
Against what?
A bunch of mostly white students?

As usual we were promised an investigation, but nothing ever came of it.
Now, cops can come in and damage people like that, and the Medical Aid won't pay for your injuries, because they say you were drunk and in a riot.

Excellent points, and the reason I have such a bitter disdain for the hypocritical liberal mindset.

The fact is, some still do care----we are just out shouted by a very vocal group of leftists. Hopefully, that will one day change. And soon.

In Holland its mostly the police who gets attacked nowadays.

No, its not normal and it shouldn't be this way.
But then, when were things ever normal in South Afric?

Watching the big screen option again makes the Stellenbosch material so disturbing.
What were they really trying to do?

What is also bad in SA is that you suddenly don't know - is it the police, or is it a even more sadistic criminal gang?
The absolute terror of a having a gun pointed in your face in SA is immense.
We've had people lying down and having their throats slit one by one.
We've had terror groups bursting into pubs (APLA), and even churches (St. James Church massacre).
We've had urban terror (Planet Hollywood bomb).
I don't think we have a single person not suffering from anxiety.
And then they come and do this to us.

I was shocked when I saw that on Monday! Thank goodness for the security camaras!

When police or metro cops pull you over in SA, you're to scared to stop. It has been said, if you do not feel safe, drive to you're nearest police station. But I can promise you, with 99% certenty, that anyone who tries that, will never reach the police station. You will be shot! They are trigger-happy!
Criminals in uniform, instead of an AK-47, they run around witg R-5 outomatic weapons, instead of protecting, terrorising the innocent!

I cant put links up with my cell but there are hundreds if not thousands of cases, of murder, rape, assault, corruption, robbery ec. against the police and metro police!

The Police (Filth) in every country seem to be getting worse, give a man a uniform and he looses his common sense. It happens where i stay all of the time. Ive had more than a few run ins with these fools, they are scum. Usually they where idiots who where slapped around in school (no balls to defend themselves) and now they are out for revenge. Wank**s the lot.
