$1.2 Trillion: The Real U.S. National Security Budget No One Wants You to Know About

www.alterne t.org

Welcome to the world of the real U.S. national security budget. Normally, in media accounts, you hear about the Pentagon budget and the war-fighting supplementary funds passed by Congress for our conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. That already gets you into a startling price range -- close to $700 billion for 2012 -- but that’s barely more than half of it. If Americans were ever presented with the real bill for the total U.S. national security budget, it would actually add up to more than $1.2 trillion a year.

Hocus pocus! Presto! Alakazam!

"Welcome to one of the greatest magic shows on earth! Where we can make that proverbial elephant in the room disappear before your eyes, and decieve your own perception of what is occuring right underneath your noses, and you will continue questioning nothing and keep going right along with what we tell you!"

So much for all the "defense cuts" the latest M.I.C. stooges have been touting. Just more misdirection to keep folks off the trail of the REAL budget for our war machine grotesqueries.

And the beat marches on, nero continues fiddling while Rome incinerates, and exorbitant taxpayer rapings and fundings of the military state carry on, uninterrupted. Beautiful.

For all their "defense cuts" posturing, the MIC actually got their biggest payday yet (closer to 750 billion this year), then came back for another $8.1 billion handout. I don't suppose those 1,200 agencies the intelligence community ballooned to under the previous administration was going to save us money, especially not now with "fusion centers" cropping up everywhere.

So how do we reign this insanity in? Let's gut education and care for the elderly.

This is just an outright theft of the economic output of the taxpayers. Slash the defense and national security budget, or watch the US empire follow the Soviet empire vanish into history.

I cannot stomach hearing debate on msm about cuts. They talk about cutting this, or keeping that. Never does anyone ever mention the empire. A universal code of silence on the biggest financial weight on the nation. It will end though. Once the dollar falls the empire will follow. It is unsustainable.

Glad to see someone noticed. Even with all that, we have terrorists sneaking across the southern border
and we cant find a six and one half foot tall guy in a cave after ten years. Can you believe that?

Nor can we seem to locate a one eyed one legged supposed terrorist mastermind suffering from monocular depth perception. Who is apparently hopping around so fast that our billion dollar killing drones cannot catch up with him. Now that's quite a piece of military hardware.

Do you vote for this?
I know I didn't, in fact I've been yelling no to every war since 9/11.
And more NO's to "homeland scrutiny" and the "terror world" campaigns.
One event like 9/11 and we Americans have gone off the proverbial deep end and guess what?
We don't even know how to swim.
I feel horrible to think my children and grandchildren are going to inherit this [blanked-up] sad excuse for a country that was once a bastion of freedom and liberty.

So what now? Laugh and pass the KY?

Rest assured there is a very special place in Hell reserve just for PNAC members.
History will remember them as fondly as the Bolsheviks, the Mongol hordes or the bubonic plague.

America has become a for-profit war machine. if one determines the priority of a country based on what they spend they're money on, then america's priorities are: fear, intimidation, and destruction of life.

I'm on Social security and I got a letter from them yesterday saying they are really low on funds and if something doesn't change soon, they didn't state what, that they were only going to be able to give back .76 cents on every dollar you paid in in your lifetime.....I knew they couldn't keep this lie up forever...Now it's coming to a head.....

I heard these words the other day, and think that Obama should not be saying them....

"The details of such disarmament programs are manifestly critical and complex.
Neither the United States nor any other nation can properly claim to possess a perfect, immutable formula."
Why does he hate America?? Why does he think we're weak?? Why does he apologize to the world?

"They aspire to this: the lifting, from the backs and from the hearts of men, of their burden of arms and of fears, so that they may find before them a golden age of freedom and of peace."
haha What a dreamer! He must be smoking something in that White House.

"This Government is ready to ask its people to join with all nations in devoting a substantial percentage of any savings achieved by real disarmament to a fund for world aid and reconstruction. The purposes of this great work would be to help other peoples to develop the undeveloped areas of the world, to stimulate profitable and fair world trade, to assist all peoples to know the blessings of productive freedom."
Commie!! Marxist!! Socialist!!

"This we do know: a world that begins to witness the rebirth of trust among nations can find its way to a peace that is neither partial nor punitive."
What a naive piece of .... foreign policy! He likes tyrants!

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
So be it, Mr. President, if those lazy people can't get a job to feed their families! Where's personal responsibility?

Obama should not be saying them...unless he gives credit to Dwight D. Eisenhower, 1953

Pres Eisenhower foresaw our future

"...a life of perpetual fear and tension; a burden of arms draining the wealth and the labor of all peoples; a wasting of strength that defies the American system "

...the current GOP is the doppelgänger of Ike's
