Go Charlie! Give 'Em Hell! If you refer to his heart, liver, brain, and reputation, I think they've had enough.

LoL!
Excellent points in your post.

Yes, Sheen is responsible for most of the negative attention, but I can see his wheels turning, especially in the latest interview, and I don't think he's a lost cause... I think he may be learning from all this as he goes.

I don't think he is either.

I think he is a very intelligent man, as well.
I thought he was great in Platoon.

In spite of everything, he is so damn likable.

His personal choices are a bit extreme, but the producers knew about his lifestyle before they hired him. It's actually WHY they hired him. Hollywood is full of leeches that will suck you dry and then move on to the next one.

They also make it seem as if Charlie is abnormal in his behavior and appetites, but it's Hollywood, and when they mention the drug parties full of porn stars, I guarantee you he isn't partying alone and would bet he's done so with quite a few other celebs.

I seriously hope that he is off drugs as he claims.
He seems confident about the subject, even though his mannerisms are a bit wiry.

You're right about one thing, he speaks his mind.
Most of what he says in his interviews, I actually believe.

- Lee

The media follows celebrity's with issues, because That is what the american people want to see..And if the people want to see it, Then of course they will watch it, And this bumps the ratings up..

Please. Don't you find it odd that Americans care more about these things than the vast majority of other nations. Are you seriously suggesting for a second there's some sort of genetic inclination towards superificial celeb gossip amongst the very ethically diverse nation of America? Because that's what you actually are suggesting. And it's ridiculous.

Americans care about these things because the media tells them they're important. It's conditioned behaviour. Unimportant garbage that they've been brainwashed into thinking matters.

No sense of triviality.

I thought of the exact video you posted while reading some of the comments posted. People who dont understand others always call people like Charlie Sheen crazy. He lives in an environment where lots of people have the same problems as he does. The media is going after Sheen because hes fighting back and they want to discredit him by saying he's crazy. Hopefully he does come out a winner because "he's not bi-polar, he's a bi-winner".

The more I see Charlie on TV. The more I think he's either deluded himself into thinking he's king of the world or he's got some serious mental issues.

Or who knows. Maybe he's just playing the media. He knows what makes them drool and is giving them what they want. One hell of a story.

I'm on Team Charlie, although not in his secret army of assassins. The guy does alot of drugs and has sex with porn stars - and when people attack him for it, he flips them the birdfinger and continues to do it. The other phonies in Hollywood would apologize to everyone (while not actually being sorry) and would go into rehab (knowing full well they will return to the drugs/booze afterward). Sheen doesn't play that game. He likes the way he lives and that's that. As for "attacking" his wives or whatever, no police report or factual evidence exists to support those accusations. As for the show, it is poorly written, poorly produced, and poorly acted. The only thing that made it a success was the likeability of Charlie Sheen. Lorre should be kissing Sheen's butt instead of having a hissy fit because his meal ticket had the cojones to call it as he sees it.
Sheen is definitely pretty out there, and looks terrible lately, but the media spin machine is in overdrive to make him look as bad as possible. The same story with Mel Gibson and Randy Quaid. If you are in the Hollywod system but don't follow the party line you are made to look like a crazy person or a racist or something. Once you can see the fnords, it's obvious what the media is up to most of the time. The 20/20 interview with Sheen was pure propaganda to discredit and defame a person, whether it is deserved or not. I also tend to agree with the Dave Chapelle theory posted in another comment: These people aren't crazy. It's the toxic environment they are put in. If you don't submit, you are "taken care of".
It's certainly true that the "Sheen issue" is far less important than events in the Middle East or Wisconsin, but what this issue does do is expose how ridiculously biased and agenda driven the American media is(not necessarily left or right so much as establishment in general)

My girlfriend often mentions how tabloids are dumb but I don't even want to hear about it. Obviously, though, this man has something figured out and good for him. He doesn't seem to give two #s about what the media says about him, he's doing what he pleases and good for him. As long as he isn't hurting anyone (other than himself) he should party on.

I'd certainly be doing the same...

Well now - this post is spot on for me. Charlie's behavior is so ridiculously over the top and so annoying and yet here we all are sucking it up like leeches. Yes - a very convenient distraction. But - what if he did sell his soul and now wants out of the contract? Hmmmmm?

Here's a thought.

Charlie was incredibly powerful & had a huge sway on people around the world thanks to his role in 2 & a half men.

Charlie spoke out against 9/11 lies. Charlie began associating himself with conspiracy theories/rists.

The chaos of Charlies personal life begins being exposed & slandered throughout the global media.

A year later it happens all over again except now he is sent to a rehab clinic for a drug problem.
This where I believe we need to direct our focus.

Don't look at charlie look at who he hangs with when he does drugs, hookers, etc look at his doctors & the rehab center specifically.

This will determine for you whether he is being manipulated or not & who by.

just my 2 cent but I believe there often is a different reason for the change that occurs in celebrities after rehab trips. The referrence's Charlie keeps making in interviews 'match' too...

Let's see, 300 million people can watch Charlie Sheen blabber on his back porch for a few mins then talk about it with their friends, or they can watch the entire Middle East go up in flames and the impending American intervention.

What do you think they will choose?

Americans didn't even have the attention span to watch the 17-20 days of the Egyptian Protests. The majority of them are already so tuned out of the chaos in the Middle East that they'll take 24/7 Sheenanigans any day.

CNN: "The government is going to war with Libya."

American: "Yeah, but what's Charlie doing? Did you know that they canceled Two and a Half Men? MY DVR is empty
