I look at this whole story with sadness. Charlie Sheen is not "Killing the Game". He is killing himself.

I'll keep that in mind... let's see where he is a year from now.

He is a vatican assassin, an F18, and a rockstar from mars. Winning!

I saw Charlie this morning on the "Today Show" after his kids were taken from him, and all I can say is that the stress looks to be taking a toll on him physically. The interviewer, some lame-o, was trying to backhandedly disparage him with every question. I thought he handled it well, but I'm not sure how much longer he can handle the intense scrutiny.

Regardless of how people perceive him, I wish him the best. He's fighting the juggernaut like no celebrity before him.

I didnt watch it, but heard of it. He keeps placing himself and his private problems in the public eye. He keeps responding to it which keeps him in the public eye... which he seems to greatly enjoy. I feel he is bringing it upon himself in many ways.

They took his kids, what's he supposed to do? He didn't even know where they were taken.

I agree he's brought a lot on himself, but I think most of us really know why he's being subjected to this.

The following is my opinion as a member participating in this discussion.

Celebrity Rehab, if he's still alive. Then a new show with Gary Busey, One and a Half Brains.

As an ATS Staff Member, I will not moderate in threads such as this where I have participated as a member.

That's a very very short version of the interview. I'll see if I can find it when I get the time.

I figure he is simply the new Anna Nicole/Britney Spears/Lindsay Lohan/Michael Jackson...??

My opinion?
Perhaps stay off the TV, retain an atty, get whatever his issue he is having under control, and get his kids back? The crying for sympathy to a harsh judgmental public for a private issue is ridiculous IMO. I can't think of anyone who would say, " CHarlie, your behavior is normal, substance abuse is okay, and beating your girlfriends and wives shoudnt reflect on your parenting skills or the environment your kids are placed in". HE did that nonsense, no one forced him to behave that way in retaliation for him speaking out against the govt. This anti govt thing happened after he behaved like a beast to his wives, girlfriends and children... and its continued.

In 1984, I thought Charlie Sheen was so cute. Well he's not cute anymore. All the charm is gone... He has
lead a very immoral lifestyle, he can not commit to family relationships, and has the worst manners imaginable. His career is finished.

He better start living the healthy frugal life if he wants to continue. For someone who had so much potiental in
life, I believe we all watched him shoot off both of his feet last night on public television. He is morally disgusting and I really feel sorry for those five children who have to bear his last name for life. I suggest he donate his life to charitable work, and give up the life of sin. He needs to grow up and act his age, he is having the worst mid life crisus I ever saw unfold.

The judge was right to restrict his rights to being around small children. Charlie Sheen needs to make a sizable donation to the battered women's groups/ shelters, and drug rehabilitation programs. I am sure his family is deeply embarrassed and would like to disown him. This man needs help... I hope he finds it.

I guess they thought Sheen would absolutely go ballistic by taking his boys away.
Charlie may be flaky and egocentric, but he hasn't completely lost it...

Immature for his age? Certainly.
Battling drug addiction? Probably, but with suffering comes wisdom.
(1 in 10 american adults use illegal drugs)

I live in Central Kentucky.. I have seen some nasty things - roach filled trailers, children more or less neglected and subjected to all sorts of illicit activity. I doubt Charlie's house is anything like what I've seen in blue collar America.

The ramblings of a madman?

or is there something else he's trying to communicate?

he also said he's from mars and is tired of hiding it.

i love how he's not trying to spin reality, or hide behind some lame pr guy - however, he is completely out of his mind right now.

this will end in two ways:
1. death
2. admittance to having "a problem", then rehab "the solution", and then of course, the grand comeback

What he is doing is called self-indulgence.
He isn't championing some anti-PC cause, he's just "partying".
It's no different than what Paris Hilton, or Lindsay Lohan usually do.

It looks like it has taken it's toll on him, too.
He looks worn out, and fidgety. Very manic.

During some interviews I started to wonder if he was developing Parkinson's disease.
It wasn't a pretty thing to see.

Certainly his lifestyle shouldn't be "encouraged" because even he wanted to change it.

I remember a time when being outlandish was awesome, but now if the media says it's "BAD!", Americans respond with "BA-A-A-A-A-A-D!!!"

Being outlandish can be awesome.

Being a crack-head, with a history of violence against women and hardcore drug abuse, that stays in the company of prostitutes has never been awesome.

If he's being cool, then so is just about every worn out soul in your average ghetto in desperate need of serious help.

Why should Sheen be under any more scrutiny than the rest of us?

He's an A-list celebrity, and has enjoyed the life of one.

Being a celebrity comes with the burden of having your whole life on display at all times.
It's a double-edged sword. The cameras don't stop once his TV show ends. I think he knows this.

Not to mention the fact that people like Alex Jones can't wait to publicize his extreme statements from his radio show or on The View. Sheen needs to stay out of the media spotlight by NOT going on multiple shows.

If he working to maintain a level of anonymity in regards to his personal life, he's doing it wrong.

Go Charlie! Give 'Em Hell!

If you refer to his heart, liver, brain, and reputation, I think they've had enough.

Define "jest":

joke: a humorous anecdote or remark intended to provoke laughter......

You may be one of the minority who thought he meant that literally.

I wondered the same thing about the Mars quote...

He exhibits actual text book signs of a severe addict....

Paranoid Delusions, the references that he's not like the rest of us.

It's kind of fun to look at through a conspiratorial lens.

Kind of like an "Illuminati Coming Out Party"

I have been catching bits and pieces here and there, it's hard not to Charlie's everywhere

I know he has his problems, he's discussed them in the past and been very open about his love for hookers and drugs. The current situation, other than being a circus, I'm not completely sure about it.

The only actual interview I caught part of was the one with Alex Jones on the View. Which was interesting in itself, that Alex was interviewed because of Sheen. With the two of them being as good of friends as Alex said, I think is fair to assume that Charlie is familiar with conspiracies or at least not seeing the world in the all familiar box.

The thing about the current situation that is confusing to me, or at least that interests me is the grand media attack on him. His personal life aside, he brings the ratings, which means everyone on the show makes money there have been plenty of celebrities with similar vices that have been widely praised, no one cares as long as you get ratings. So why are they trying their damnedest to tear him down?

None of his fans particularly care about his drug use and hooker (or more recently porn star) fetish, he's discussed them before, and never claimed to be anything other than what he is. So.....he get's labeled antisemitic for calling the producer by his Hebrew name. I loved loved loved Charlies response " so if someone calls me Carlos Estevez do I get to label them anti Latino". Classic. After that Charlie produced a business card (or vanity card I'm unsure of the difference) where the producer used his Hebrew name and said that he had tried to distance himself from Judaism for years.

When that didn't work, because Charlie made it amusingly true, we have today's breaking news. The story is that Charlie sent a text to his latest ex wife in which he refers to one of the other executives as a "Jewish pig" and that he wants to slaughter the guy. Charlie denies this and says the ex sent the text to herself from his phone, which she of course denies. First, IF Charlie was the super Jew hater that they are trying to make him out to be, why did he marry a Jew and have two kids with her? Second, to me Charlie seems to be the type of person that doesn't really give a crud what anyone thinks about him (until he runs out of money at least) he has told some pretty uncomfortable truths, he was one of two clients that testified to using Fleiss's brothels.

So, within the past few days I've seen Charlie be transformed by the media from an addict who needs help (in which he is a victim by default in need of rehab and possibly our sympathy while we wait for him to come back better than ever) to an evil Jew hating woman beater (something that we should provide no sympathy for and he is an evil aggressor who should be thrust from the spotlight to the sewer).

edit: Guess I've been paying more attention than I thought

i enjoy watching all the interviews on tv... simply because i catch every time they "cut" what he says out

the media cuts tidbits and makes it look 300x worse than it is. Charley Sheen lives the life of many people, i wish i could be exactly like him in every way. Lucky bastard gets to do coke and # porn stars all the time, whats wrong with that?

Charlie Sheen

Is our Tahir Square

Leverage this against the MSM as hard as I can.
Cause right now pro Hollywood loyalists
have been released to throw stones
and to start fires.

But Sheens' protest is peaceful.

Why am I being made to feel that he brought this on himself,
cause I do not get that feeling from seeing his interviews.

He, like every other male member of generation X,
did not bring this on himself. This is not a broken man.
This is a man scared from war, but one still fighting.

Maybe, just maybe...
every bit of damage we perceive on him
is nothing more than a reflection of the sick Hollywood environment.

David Grouchy

"These people are not crazy,
they are strong people.
It's B.S.
Maybe the environment is a little sick"
