Aussie Man gets 3 years jail for debating a Zionist

This is shocking and sickening, but true. This man was debating a zionist agitator who was angry about a protest against Israeli orange imports at an IGA supermarket in Western Australia, and this is the outcome. Free Speech seems like its dead or dying in Australia if you dare speak against the 'chosen ones'!

Edit - i just finished watching the first video and it makes for interesting but slightly uncomfortable viewing ( IMO )

Some of the other posts/comments/ wording on the linked site are quite blatantly racist,. But after watching the first vid at least,it seems ridiculous that he was jailed for making this video ( again IMO )

There was a guy a year or so who posted a video of himself abusing complete strangers on youtube, I think it's the same guy, there was a thread on it here but buggered if I can find it.

The video was used as evidence to charge him with hate speech, a crime in WA (or all of Aus).

As for the OP source...wow, hate filled crap!

Please revise your OP and edit out the racism because, other than those clearly racist remarks, you have a great and justified topic of debate here that needs to be addressed.

I watched the two videos and he does come across antisemitic but to jail him for it is very harsh and i thought we had freedom of speech still in Australia, maybe if he targeted Israel as country doing wrong by the Palestinians and not Jews he would still be free, but in the second video he clearly strikes the young Jewish boy across the face and maybe this had some bearing on the case.

Freedom of speech is fine but inciting hatred is not..
I notice many are quick to scream if they see a cleric inciting hatred but expect this kind of behavior to be accepted..

I didn't fail to notice how you titled the thread 'zionist' then quickly merged that term with jews and eventually just used jews.

you understand that zionists and jews are 2 different things right? Jews would be people of Jewish decent and or religious beliefs. Zionists don't have to be jews and most prominent ones aren't. zionists believe god gave the land to 'Israel' and that the end result of a 'greater Israel' ruling the entire middle east, and then the world, is their right and duty.

If we were to repost your thread changing the people in question it might read like this:

Australia doesn't have freedom of speech in the same way the USA has it. The closest thing to it is the United Nations Decleration of Human Rights which says every human is entitled to freedom of speech - which any country which is part of the United Nations has to adopt.

Ive got to say this is a bit of a joke when you consider what some of the muslims extremist media whores get away with saying over here.

Im all for free speech but not inciting racial hatred. I am at work however and haven't had the chance to watch all the videos yet but I will see them all in due time.

He should appeal.

By the way, ZION is to me what the bloodline mafia is to the Italians. But I don't go around writing Mafia Italians. I did find the choice of words in the article a bit racist, in that they added the word Jews to Zion all the time. However Free Speech is protected, so I think its the quote above had something to do with it.
