Airstrikes in Libya did not take place - Russian military (Breaking News!)

If I think about it - I have not seen one. I have not seen a single witnesses telling it. Even if there would be witnesses - they could have been planted.

Encountered a Gaddafi jet today. Saw it fly in low towards us near Brega. But wasn't expecting a bomb. Fell 200m away in sand.

Anyways, I too suspected this was just war propaganda, from the time these nasty SWISS anti-Gaddhafi activists spreaded out rumors of airstrike, and that crazy story of the two pilots who fleed to Malta. And then out of nowhere the mainstream media was flooding with the "reports" of airstikes, as if only based on these two "reports".

Switzerland, if you remember, went into war of words with Gaddahfi not so long ago, where the Libyan leader threatened to dismantle this corrupt country.

And Malta... an island-fortress of NATO and the Vatican.

How more obvious can you get?

The Western mainstream media is now so controlled and big-brotherish that it has become in fact a very useful LIE DETECTOR... whatever they say, it's the exact opposite than the truth!

But instead the world leaders are putting on side bets on the out come of Libya its easy to see and makes me absolutely sick to my stomach

If Gaddafi stays in power and defeats the uprising there is absolutely no doubt he's going to throw some nice Oil deals the Russians way for this propaganda effort, it make you wonder if there has been some form of communication/deal already made with the Kremlin & Tripoli. the West/US are trying to help the people/uprising

Looks like the tables all set folks its clear we have the Russians backing gaddafi & his dictator regime and the West/US supporting the Rebels/the protesters with arms that want there freedom & democracy,

I don't think anybody can deny Gaddafi WAS using his Air Force

The defected pilots will tell you themselves they was ordered to do so and the civilians many thousands will tell you the same

Russia is a joke. China has a stealth bomber with the same specs as the retired f-117

SF thanks for confirming what just hit me this morning while watching BBC. They said like 100 people died and showed how dangerous it was because of the bullet casings found by the reporter. I think that the casing is just from the countless weapons being fired in the air by assault rifles which has been shown everyday for weeks. I just told my fiance this morning that I think that it is being streched as being worse than it really was. Although could you imagine if most of the middle east became a democracy or atleast socialist? This is moving really rapidly and makes me sort of happy. I think that the U.S. knows that this is its opportunity to move in which in this case may be ""don't be mad at me" but a good idea. I definately think that Iraq was a stupid war but some of these people need help in libia because this guy might be crazy. Although they kept insisting that he acted like he was on drugs and I think that might have been propiganda due to the way MSM described it from the beginning. THANKS FOR THE POST

There was a pilot-chappie on Sky News that offered his services to Gaddafi's
opposition, and I'm certain he was ordered to fire on his own people.
I agree that this Russian news report is a little suspect and it's all just

Just thought id let you all know that 400 troops where just sent there from camp lejune nc. there is talk about sending more in the next couple of days have not had that confirmed though.

you people that believe this news report from russia are just plain dumb.... yes the bombing from planes happened, and the reason you are not seeing video is because 1. alot of the people there are poor and don't have video camera's and 2. News reporters have been told to stay out, and have been threatened by ghaddafi's group so they won't be able to post video of what he is doing.

While I agree the U.S. shouldn't get involved.... they didnt "create" the bombings just so we could go get the oil..... It doesn't come to us anyway!

Interesting how peoples hatred of the West or the US translates into a reading and hearing disorder.

In the video itself it says "To be more precise, Al Jazerra and BBC are reporting". The other sources would be simply running with stories from those sources. There are not exactly a lot of Reporters from the West inside these areas of Libya and they get their reports from those who are.

Al Jazeera was reporting this to be true and I just checked their English Site and there is now no article about it on the site anymore. I think they were the original source and Al Jazeera is hardly a Western Puppet.

Also the Russian Media is State controlled and is used for disseminating Russian Propaganda. Don't confuse Russia with Western Democracy. That report was for a reason. Russia has it's eye on the oil.

It's entirely possible that the same people who provided the sources and information in the first place are the ones now criticizing the West for wrongful reporting. In fact I think it's likely.

Interestingly enough with all the hype about FoxNews lately, during a live report from inside Libya yesterday a Reporter was asked about that due to his proximity to the area. He clearly said they had heard or seen nothing to confirm the air-strikes. He was clearly questioning the validity of it.

You folks want to look for truth, you've got to set your bigotry, political ideology and biases aside. Some of you are way to easy to manipulate. If it's negative about the US or the Western World, you immediately accept it as fact without even thinking or checking it out.

This is a non-story to fill the day and a clear propaganda attack by Russia who want's Libya's Oil. If I had to guess it's them keeping in good graces with the Dictator and his minions just in case. It's about oil, not if the News ran with a story from a normally reliable source that turned out to be untrue. That is just to divert your attention and use your lack of control of your emotions to control you.

The real worry should be about who replaces Gadaffi Duck (sorry, seemed like a logical combination of words ). Even if he is gone, does not mean his replacement won't be worse. That is what the propaganda war for Oil is really about. Staying on the good side of as many people as possible until they know the outcome.

Russia's only interest is in itself and it's Media has never been reliable. This is a gambit in their propaganda war for sure. Like I said, I think they may have been the original source of the story they are now disputing. That would be SOP for them I think.

I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when the BBC said he Qaddafi had tried to bomb his own ammo dumb four times in the last twelve days and still hasn't hit it lol. Lets see how lippy he is when he has another US carrier parked off his shore, If he is not suffering from old-timers then he will flee the country because he was so scared after 9/11 he begged the CIA to visit his country to see he had no nuclear weapons program but he really had just tried to start one.
