The Obama administration is moving an array of U.S. warships to Libyan waters, significantly escalating American pressure on Libyan strongman Muammer el-Qaddafi as he resists mounting calls to step aside.

US moving warships to Libyan waters

WHY? WHY? WHY? Does America always have to step in and try to be the world police? We already have troops on too many fronts. We don't need to get involved any more in the Middle East. We need to get troops out, not add more troops to the region.

This is crazy! Our military forces are being spread too thin and we need them on American soil to protect our own borders!

War is profit! Its as simple as that!

If the USA just had all its military force sat in America doing nothing a lot of money would be lost!

The USA has the biggest military in the world, it has to be kept busy otherwise the fat cats would lose out!

I understand the war machine, but spreading the troops as thin as we are is going to come back and bite us in the a$$!

Have you seen any of those numerous U.S. Navy commercials that're CONSTANTLY playing on TV?

Their motto is "A Global Force For Good"

They are not spread thin.

Total US active personnel: 1.5 million
Total US "reserves": 1.5 million
Total US forces: 3 million

Forces deployed in support of operations in Iraq/Afghanistan: 150,000

Thats not even 1/10th of our total forces.
