Thanks for the information Silverado292. It does seem like conflict is on the agenda. I find it odd that the leadership would inform everyone that we are in contact with anti-government forces now. I bet they have been in contact with them long before they decided to announce it.

U.S. in contact with anti-government Libyans

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Sunday that that the United States is reaching out to different Libyans as the Obama administration calls for Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi to leave the country. "We've been reaching out to many different Libyans who are attempting to organize in the east and as the revolution moves westward there as well," Clinton said on Sunday.

The No-Fly Zone is under false pretenses.

Russia Today has released intelligence that the shootings from aircraft at protesters in Libya did NOT take place. According to Russian Satellites over the area this attack did not find place. There is no documented debris from the attack on the ground. Also, some fighters "defected" after this happened, that was possibly an extraction of intelligence operatives. This news story is the same kind as the false story before Iraq about soldiers killing babies in Kuwait. Western propaganda. The truth has been sacrificed, that means the attack is imminent.
rt.com...

Great Britain has their forces on the ground extracting "civilians". According to Gaddhafi, masked people with guns ruined oil-raffinaries in Libya during the nights. This is something the west has blaimed him for being behind. Maybe the forces are really extracting the western terrorists who were responsible for the attack in the first place? Like the operation in Iraq where British forces freed "terrorists" being held in prison by the Iraqi authorities? So, then it is an agent-provocateur operation finding place.
www.telegraph.co.uk...

I fear war will happen, and I know the track-record of the western powers. They will leave only ruins behind them after they are finished bombing. They are already planning bombing raids, and those will kill civilians and the people of Libya will go into a full out civil war because the people are so divided. Crude oil is being traded at high prices, that is the real reason behind this war. But, not all know what is going on.

Most definitely I wouldn't be surprised if Navy seals, etc.. haven't had people there for a few months now. Hopefully they'll realize public support for this is next to non existent and pull the ships back.

The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group is also headed back up the Suez. Somehoe they will gain an extra 400 Marines in the process since they "lent half their normal contingent to Afghanistan that will still leavethem short-staffed. The Ponce, the 6th Fleet flagship and also an amphibious support ship, is also headed to the area and is likely already there. I believe several destroyers are already on station. The Captain and CMC of the DDG Stout were just fired* while on station. They had been escorting ferries from Libya.

The Enterprise has several squadrons of F/A-18s on board with support aircraft such as electronics warefare planes. The Kearsarge, however, is an amphibious strike force capable of a small-scale invasion. It would normally have 3,000 or so Marines, a very few tanks and APCs, Harriers, and helos aboard. Think of it this way. The Enterprise is the calvary and the Kearsarge is the Infantry, albeit light infantry. They COULD establish a beachhead by the oil fields, but this is not a big enough group for a wholesale ground invasion.

This leaves only one carrier in the Arabian Gulf. The carrier Reagan is preparing for a deployment but it will take a couple of weeks to get to the Mediterranean from Norfolk.

* Apparently this was because of crew misbehavior while in port. Five or six chiefs were also removed from the ship. The Captain only assumed command on Dec. 28th, so that shows you how instantly accountable they become.

We have thousands of airborne troops in Italy along with a fighter wing there, plus 50,000 troops in Germany and tons of aircraft that can transport them if need be.

Other airborne forces in the states could be ready within 48-72 hours. Plus our bombers are always ready, we keep a number of B-52s in the air at all times just in case.

Ghadaffi's son has been on sky news denying everything claiming the whole situation to be a concoction and invited journalists free and open access to see that there is nothing nefarious going on and it is all lies being reported in the western media. America and britian are the real criminal genocidal mass murderers and the u.n. just a puppet on a string. desperate times along with desperate fakery. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED. THESE DESPICABLES ARE RUINING ALL OUR LIVES, WHEN PEOPLE, WHEN?

War for oil battle cry doesn't fly here. We import .005 of our oil from Libya. Hell we bring in more from Belgium. I could probably go find a couple thousand barrels floating around the gulf to make up the difference.

i will let you in on a little secret: thats not how it works. Oil is not a commodity, its a currency.

Ok its .005 of our currency that make you happy now?

It's fixin to increase quite a bit here soon...at least that is how it looks to be planned for now..
Does De Nile run through America or Egypt, anyway...?

Wasn't that ship supposed to hunt evil pirates? I know it's a rather controversial theory, but it is said that there is a stargate in Irak, and that the somalian pirates are a false-flag to justify so many ships in that area (which would be protecting and hiding the gate). Now, this ship quits the alleged super-important mission, coming to promote "freedom".

I think something big is afoot.

Man oh man, now McCain is wanting to start this right now and blaming the Obama Administration for finding excuses not to act. He wants a body count sooner rather than later it seems. You tell them Libyan pilots there is a no fly zone and they are going to listen to me!

McCain: U.S. 'making up reasons' to avoid action on Libya

Pentagon officials are meanwhile warning that any no-fly operation would require preemptive attacks on Libyan air defenses. At a Senate hearing Tuesday Gen. James Mattis, chief of U.S. Central Command, called the potential mission "challenging" and added, "it would be a military operation -- it wouldn't be just telling people not to fly airplanes." Those comments exasperated Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) a former Navy pilot who, along with Sen. Joseph Lieberman (I-Conn.), just returned from a tour of the Middle East. "We spend $500 billion on defense, and we can't take down Libyan air defenses?" he asked incredulously in an interview he and Lieberman gave to me and The Post's Fred Hiatt. "You tell those Libyan pilots that there is a no-fly zone, and they are not going to fly."

Yeah, they had the USS Enterprise hunting pirates because their rusty tugboats are commanded by only the sharpest, undernourished AK-47 wielding hoodlums that ever graced the planet.

if the people arent looking for assistance with this internal issue, that's cool that's their country. i applaud their resolve. they just need the proper armament to combat the issue.
i sure as hell wouldnt want china over here to "liberate" the americans in the event of the people booting bad people out of government.

Wow, the USA is going to get involved in a third conflict?

Didn't know they had that many troops to put on the ground (in all honestly, a carrier group will be able to shut down the airspace, but not going to be able to control the ground with that)

USS Enterprise on its way to Libya as America and Britain ramp up threats to enforce no-fly zone above Gaddafi

www .dailymail.co.uk

The U.S. Navy was repositioning its heavy-hitting warships around North Africa tonight as America and Britain dramatically increased pressure on Libyan leader Moammar Gaddafi.

The aircraft carrier USS Enterprise, which had been had been on pirate-hunting duty off the coast of Somalia, has now steamed to the mouth of the Suez Canal in the Red Sea.

The deadly strike force aboard the nuclear-powered carrier is already within flying distance of Libya but the Enterprise is said to be heading closer

It's amazing that in order to find out what is really going on in American that we need to read the British news to find out what is really going on. American media is all about filtering what is happening to help keep the masses in the dark.
