What was the first thing Obama did as President? Close down Gitmo?

...and please, if your Pro, just list the accomplishments, the Cons seem to have their list....

Not on topic, but since you keep attempting to point out Obama's "accomplishments", I wonder what his accomplishment to campaign promise ratio is?

3.5 promises kept to 1 broken. Not too bad.

PolitiFact has compiled more than 500 promises that Barack Obama made during the campaign and is tracking their progress on our Obameter.

* Promise Kept 134

* Compromise 41

* Promise Broken 38

* Stalled 71

* In the Works 220

* Not yet rated 2

It will be interesting to see how the situation works out with Walker and Obama, but I have a feeling Walker and his supporters will be very disappointed. I think Obama should ignore him.

WELL, I'm sorry to tell it to you STRAIGHT :
YOU AMERICANS VOTED IN MASS FOR HIM , RIGHT?!
Didn't you americans stayed like sheeps in minus 10 degrees Celsius just to see him in Washington?
I used to watch TV that time (not anymore thank God), and was really amazed how much support HE WAS GETTING AS FIRST BLACK PRESIDENT OF USA!!!
I tell you americans : your brains are beeing controlled OTHERWISE IT CAN NOT BE EXPLAINED!

Yeah, like we need lectures from socialist people from a country that has a flag that is red, blue and yellow.
Gimme a break. red, blue and YELLOW....

Why all the yelling. You do know of course that CAPS in www. parlance is considered shouting? And don't they have spell check in Romania? And why don't your women shave under their arms?

Thanks for the input though. We really appreciate it from a country that has such a sterling history of tolerance and respecting its citizens.

edit on 1-3-2011 by whaaa because: sarcasm you betcha

YOU DO NEED "LECTURES" from those that THINK not just go head-first in a wall!

let me explain it to you :
RED is for how easy it is to have your ars kicked by ROMANIANS !
BLUE is for HOW MUCH WE LIKE OUR FREEDOM TO DO ANYTHING (although we have been in comunism for a "while" ! That's changed now!
YELLOW it represents the power of LIFE , SUN and generally speaking the LIGHT !
Anyone can use capslock , as far as I am concerned!
No they don't have "spell-checks" because I don't speak english everyday! SUNT ROMAN IN PIZDA MATII!

Why don't romanian women shave under their arms?!
Why should they?!
There's a law that says that?
Why men shave under their arms?!
Well , history is so wrong sometimes! LIES are all over the history !
tolerance and respect is something hard to see these days!
You should have more of both!

too bad...
You're welcome!

Sorry, I should have made it more plain that I was being sarcastic.

However it didn't go unnoticed that you conveniently removed the reference to Ceausescu.

People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones!

www.moreorless.au.com...

I personally feel we need more tolerance not less; among all peoples and nations.
Sadly, some of your criticism was justified as America tears itself apart, the republic dies and Fascism is the order of the day.

Obama is an embarrassment and I can no longer support him because he lied and is just another neocon.

Why don't you go look up what Obama has actually accomplished since he took office.

The truth - - - will set you free.

And - - he's not done yet.

The one thing I clearly remember is Obama saying to the effect of - - - - he would systematically take each issue - - - form a committee to study it - - - then and only when the study is complete - - - would he act on it. As far as I can tell that is exactly what he is doing.

He said he would not make "gut decisions". Unlike Bush jumping to cater to the Christian Right - - - I don't see Obama being swayed or acting impulsively. Works for me.

I would think Obama's administration does have "people" in Wisconsin investigating what is really going on. I don't know how much he can actually do other then offer support to the union.

Good job just skimming the site for data favorable to your own agenda.

However, they seem to be at least a little biased towards obama when they report broken promises such as closing gitmo as being "stalled". Another promise to "bring democrats and republicans together" is listed as "in the works" when EVERYONE saw in the obamacare debacle that working with republicans was not even considered.

Your (and Annee's) pro-obama website and it's "facts" - shot down in flames ...

too many Americans believe and trust the media establishment and voted for him in good faith after being led to believe that Obama would be fiscally moderate, and concentrate on job growth. no one said anything about trillion dollar 'stimulus' paybacks to dem groups, or federal control over health care.
hopefully in 2012 'we won't be fooled again'

Yes - - I can see you bothered to look up all that has been accomplished.
However - - everything you listed - - - would be what Bush dumped on this
country during his 8 years.

if a president started it,
then a president can end it.

And Obama didn't.

Cute. But not realistic.

I see you have not looked up all that Obama has accomplished - - - either.

thread

Surprised you are not over on this thread defending obama for deciding Bush had it right on Gitmo all along, or is it just taking you awhile to come up with something?

FAIL

And why would I do that? First off this thread is not about Gitmo.

Second - - - seeing/focusing only on negative without acknowledging the positive - - - is ridiculous and lazy debating.

*gives Annee a spoon*

Time for you to take your own medicine, then.

No one could be considered to be "seeing/focusing only on negative" on the Wisconsin issue more than you.

How ridiculous you are.

I've already stated I listen to "centric" news talk shows that present both sides. Or did you choose to ignore that?

My opinion is based on hearing both sides of the argument.

Please stick to the subject. The subject is not Annee.

EDIT: OK - - it is in the other thread I stated I only listen to talk news shows that discuss both sides. If you don't listen to all views - - you can not make an informed opinion.
