Hundreds of aboriginal women have been reported missing or murdered across Canada over the past 20 years. Many of those crimes have gone unsolved, the lingering questions of the women’s families dismissed by authorities.

In August 2010 Valerie Taliman wrote a five-part series for the newspaper Indian Country Today, the precursor to Indian Country Today Media Network, on the scope of the problem and what is and is not being done about it. Below are links to the series.
