I bought a shotgun at a gun show once and the girl behind the counter scratched the barrel when she moved it to call in the background check (FFL dealer and compliant)....It is a Franchi LAW-12 to go with my SPAS-12.

How about it's performance.

Always ask for an I.D.

In Calif the illegals have IDs that you can not tell from real state drivers licenses. Only the cops can when they run them.

If they get caught with a gun that they bought with there high class fake IDs do you think they will tell the cops they used a fake and get the extra charges.
you will be the one the BATF goes after.

Almost all states have criminal rings that sell fake IDs this is why you can not do under the table gun deals in Calif all transfure must go through the state.

The Calif DOJ has even been fooled by cloned state IDs based on real peoples drivers licenses that have been remade with new photos by forgers.

Always ask for TWO forms of ID and cross check them.

Is that some sort of advanced tracking technique or just negligence?

Most likely it's just negligence.

Tracking technique? Seriously?

I'm just curious, what's the law on buying a gun at a Gun Show?
Do you have to fill out paper work and what not?
