Krisuvik Volcano, Iceland Major Swarm

Several hundred earthquakes have struck right around Krisuvik, the last time it erupted was in the 14th century. It would appear we may see it erupt again. The last 5-6 hours have been very active.

What are the implications of this particular volcano?

This swarm has been going for several days and is being reported in the local Iceland media. The local scientists are all still trying to figure this latest activity out, especially since it is so close to the capital. The swarm appeared relatively harmless until today, when it suddenly became extremely active. The volcano could be explosive depending on if the lake becomes involved.
