RAMALLAH, West Bank (Reuters) - Palestinian Prime Minister Ahmed Qurie has submitted his resignation to President Yasser Arafat after complaining of chaos in Gaza following kidnappings by gunmen seeking anti-corruption reforms.

Arafat ordered a security shakeup in the territory and refused to accept Qurie's resignation, officials said on Saturday.

Good first step here, maybe wishful thinking here but hopefull the Palestinians are realizing that the terror tactics of Arafat, Hamas, Hizbollah, Al Aqsa Brigades etc, are not the way to a peaceful solution in this region. Let's get some real peace seekers from Palestine to start a new valid effort to end this senseless confrontation. The makings of a good peace are there we have seen them for years, they just need some leaders who WANT peace and not mutual destruction. I will say another prayer for the innocents in this region tonight, if you have a mind to please do so yourself.
