If I joined a union and paid union dues, I would expect the union to help pay my retirement and health care! Why pay dues?? Where does that money go?

Partially, it goes to funding the Democratic campaigns and elections.

Not Republican, not Tea Party. Not Libertarian.

Democrat.

www.cehwiedel.com...

The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees has spent $87.5 million to elect Democrats. By union rules, members are public employees. That means that they are paid using tax dollars. Your tax dollars. My tax dollars. The union dues are mandatory. So are the taxes.

Just what ball do you think is rolling here? When the Tunisian protests started, I found a lonely little article saying that trade unions were a huge part of the protest. And you know, the police joined the people in the protest. Now we have our Unions here in the US protesting. Well, who are they protesting against? A Republican governor. Isn't that just handy dandy ! The media has reported that MoveOn.org and various socialist organizations have joined the protests. It is totally Democrat organized. Democrat is the de facto Socialist Party operating in the US today.
So, I'm guessing the ball you think is rolling is Socialist anarchy to take down a Republican governor and any others who would oppose the Socialist agenda.

I just want to know one thing:

Is the following quote accurate or not?

Police have just announced to the crowds inside the occupied State Capitol of Wisconsin: ‘We have been ordered by the legislature to kick you all out at 4:00 today. But we know what’s right from wrong. We will not be kicking anyone out, in fact, we will be sleeping here with you!’

The way it's been presented, by people circulating it on Facebook, and on supposed news sites that I've never heard of before, implies that this was an announcement made by a police officer who was on duty.

I have seen a video of a police officer making similar statements to the crowd, using a bullhorn, but he was clearly off duty, and not speaking in his official capacity as a police officer.

Can anybody confirm whether or not the above quote is true, and whether the cop who allegedly spoke those words was on duty and officially speaking with any kind of authority?

I ask this because it sounds like glurge/urban legend/e-mail forwarding nonsense to me.

Again I ask, is that quote accurate? Has it been confirmed? Or is this another urban legend in the making?

I have already posted about the left/right thing and a list of books by Prof Antony Sutton. So please do not lecture me on Hegelian dialectic. The left/right Hegelian thing does not make what the leftists are doing ok. I also do not care for the Patriot Act. I also did not vote for Bush in 04. In fact I told people that both candidates are members of Skull and Bones. I have told people that Bush Sr talked openly about the NWO, and I will be the first to fire a RINO. So guess what Bro, there's no excuse to support a Left Hegelian policy or activity.

police are all that bad...fact...i would never just turn around and say actually they're alright because they agree with our protests...if a guy who spent 5 years beating u up at school was in those protests would you say hes not that bad?

the police are bullies...just in the case they happen to agree with a protest...nothing nice about them still

OK and for any here who have not seen this, here is a list of communist goals for the takeover of the USA, as recorded in Congressional testimony.....I'll post the URL from Rense.com with the relevant goals...
www.rense.com...

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the United States.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers' associations. Put the party line in textbooks.

I've read many of the postings here and while there are a few who understand the budget shortfalls is the reason for this peice of legislation, the real victims in this issue is the children.

While their education is put on hold, they must sit back and observe the grownups bicker back and forth like a bunch of whiny little pansies.

If there is no compromise between the two then neither deserves nothing.

Communists already own America because they buy up America's debt just so America can keep buying from them. They are collecting your $200 everytime you pass go - they dont need any more than this because money controls everything else. They may very well have control of both parties - so why are we taking sides. Dont judge them on what they say judge them on their actions. If it wasnt/isnt the communists it is/would be someone else - because the US allowed their country to be sold.
As far as the "communist propaganda" - you really need to dig a little deeper in to some of the posts around here if you think it's a one way street.

This is a lie...
and that's the truth...
Google the cordwainers if you want to start to learn the truth about unions...and maybe the story of the battle of the overpass...it illustrates what the rich actually intend for the middle class.

Did you know that one of the provisions of the bill is to allow for voluntary dues instead of mandatory dues? But you only hear this inflammatory stuff about pensions. Then theres the part which limits teacher tenure, which allows for better teachers to be hired instead of keeping on those who are not doing such a hot job. Even that Trumpka fellow said it's not about the children. That's a very telling thing if you ask me.

There's no reason to handle these protestors....This IS democracy in action...
If the police are needed for anything it may be for apprehending the elected officials who failed to adequately fund the worker pensions after agreeing to....There's the real crime....that and Walker's tax giveaway in the first week of his term, which Caused the deficit.

I expect protests of these sorts to multiply all across hte country. People receiving government pensions that're GUARANTEED should have seen this coming. People are tired of giving all their money away to pay for excessive gimmies like this. Private workers RARELY get guaranteed pensions.

This happened because of unions. Unions aren't evil, but what they're doing is.

This is a foolish statement.considering the rich have spent 100 times that amount to elect the repugnican and Tea Bagger candidates....oh,and by the way...that money is from the TAX breaks that their political stooges...Scottie Walker for instance...have unilaterally given them...but please keep supporting them...maybe they'll let you work in the house...instead of the field....
