Conservatives vow to make gay marriage 2012 issue

What a bunch of fools!!! We are facing sooooooo many problems...costly never-ending wars, unemployment, and an economy that's still in crisis. But they chose a topic that affects NO ONE. Gays aren't hurting anyone, and the only reason they say that is to appeal to emotions. They are NOT focusing on what's important, but rather pick a topic where they know it's easy to herd the people. Of course they do that, because when it comes to the other subjects, they have presented ZERO solutions.

Can't believe people are dumb enough to fall for that...

The conservatives can make it an issue all they want. What are they going to do when they realize the majority of the U.S. populace just DOESN'T CARE!!

If they do this, I think they might be in for a big surprise, and not one they are going to like.
For one, they are using a social issue as a distraction, which only hard-core bigots will latch onto.

Once upon a time, another social issue became a political issue; whether or not tax dollars should be used to put "WHEEL CHAIR RAMPS", in public buildings. Oh, yes, there were conservatives who greatly opposed this.

Doesn't that seem stupid now?

Young people usually vote Liberal, old people are naturally social conservative, even if they support Liberal social plans.. to ensure the older population votes repub the neocons will be moderate about fiscal issues and hard on social issues.. in all honesty I don't think this is even about right or left. A union working miner in WV would naturally allign with the Dems, but if he's convinced gays will convert his children, he's going to vote repub.

I mean, the guy in the video is a conservative too, and even he considers the fringe religious right a bunch of lunatics. Can we FINALLY move past those fools and concentrate on issues that really matter???

For crying out loud, look at the most recent GOP votes. They only care about one thing, giving tax breaks to corporations claiming that will create jobs, and at the same time, allow those very same companies to outsource the bulk of their jobs. And people totally ignore that because they are focused on emotional and irrational subjects like gay marriage. Too many dumb people in the US
