I am thinking about desighning a car that can run directly on water.I know we have hydrogen fuel cell cars now, but not a car that can run on water you can get from your kitchen sink!hydrojen is dangrous and proabily expencive but not water.

Good for you

What technology do you have in mind?

I heard that it was already created only the oil companies simply suppress the tech from the public

Sorry to be a jerk but this isnt twitter, how about you elaborate some more? Do you even have a plan or understanding to even attempt such a thing? Did you just think, hmm I will make a car run on water because that should be easy?

Help keep ATS worthwhile and add more to your post! I would love to hear more if you have more to add.

well they lost milions if not billions of $ on this idea!

the technolagy will be like how a P.E.M. fuel cell works but with water as fuel.water contains, electrons at least thats what i have read about.the only hard part is to seprrate the electrons from the water molicules to produce electricity.

i understand.I'm still studying more about this type of tec.i actualy have some ideas on how this could work but i dond want to get to much into details.

to break it down in simple terms.
I don't think the vehicle runs completely
on water only, but rather mixes with your
gas to increase your fuel efficiency by
15% - 45% thereby giving you better gas
mileage.

but if you would like to make one that runs
entirely on water, be my guest

I'm all ears.

There are already supposed inventions that turn water into hydrogen and oxygen, burning hydrogen to power vehicles. The problem is, what is needed to create this invention is listed as an ingredient to nuclear bombs so it is unavailable to the public.

There is a thread on it somewhere on this website.

That sounds related to something lazar said. Without getting into the specifics of his claim, let me just say all you need to separate the hydrogen from the oxygen is electricity.

Lazar was talking about how he was going to store the hydrogen from the oxygen after they were separated, I believe. There are alternative storage methods to the one he's trying to sell.

But he did suggest that using photoelectric cells to create the electricity needed to split the water would be an ideal way to get "free energy" to run a car. In that example you could really say the car is powered by the sun via photoelectric cells using the split water (hydrogen and oxygen) as a storage device. Alternatively, batteries could be used as an energy storage device. Both concepts are feasible.

But the concept of running a car on water with no external energy source, is not feasible. These guys claim their truck runs on water, but it really runs on electricity because they have to recharge the battery that splits the water: www.abovetopsecret.com...

You are correct, it was Lazar, I watched some odd video on it months ago. I understand what you're saying - makes sense.

Actually, it has already been invented by Audi. I know, because my brother-in-law came up to our part of the world with the proto-type, all the way from Durban to deliver it to one of the branches here and on the way stopped in to show us. Runs completely on water. He wanted to invest in it, and we advised him against it, as we suspected that somewhere along the line, it would be prevented from hitting the market. He wanted to take out a second bond to do the investment.

Luckily he decided we may be right and didn't take out the second bond and invest, as that's exactly what happened. Doesn't change the fact that it has been invented though.

At the same time I would like to say, if you can invent this as well, and get it on the market, go for it. Just don't take out a second bond or something to do it, you might loose everything. I would love to see this thing hit the market and go against whomever is trying to stop it. Of course peeing on their batteries would be awesome too

EDIT: Just don't ask me how it's done, when he got all technical with explaining, I kind of just switched off, I can maybe try and find out from him, I'm not making any promises though, we don't speak very often.

Just a quick not to let you know, I spoke to my husband, he himself can't remember the technical details, but he'll speak to his brother and find out what he remembers, but he does know that it was patented and therefore all the papers etc that he had, was taken, so my brother-in-law will only be able to tell you from memory, and this was a few years ago. Nevertheless it might help point you in the right direction of how to do this.

The Water Car has been built successfully, beginning with Carl Cella. What he says is pertinent to why these devices are not easily available at your local Autozone.

As for building this device to sell as a completed system, that's a dead issue. In 1983, I contacted the Department of Energy to show them that my car actually worked. I was confronted by two very belligerent 'agents of tyrannical oppression' who told me that if I tried to sell pre-built units, I'd have a lot of "problems". I asked zhy, demanding an explanation, asd was told very bluntly, and not in a very nice tone: "Do you have any idea what a device like this, available to the public, would do to the economy?"

Others have done it too....The Inventors of Water Powered Cars

I would say that right now a functional manufacturing facility could be built that could in fact produce plug and play units that would work on any car or truck with a few simple modifications. I run an HHO generator on my '90 Chevy G-20 Van, and went from 14 mpg to 32-40 mpg. Here is the post:
Turn Your Car/Truck Into a HHO/Gas Hybrid This is a gasoline enhancer, not a gasoline replacement. The device makes the gasoline 90-100% effective, and a very clean burn is the after-effect. I also use a MAP Sensor Enhancer on my truck, which is two variable rate resistors which are wired into the ECM, allowing me to adjust the gasoline flow rate from the dash.
We are installing a 6-pack of these in the Spring, soon as we can engineer a container box for them. I've been using this for two years now, right in the face of those who try to convince me it doesn't work, and saved my family over $200 a month in gas expenses, we have a lot of doctor visits. Plus I get instant starts, a smooth, quiet running engine, and a clean tailpipe that emits nothing bad into the atmosphere.

Here is a site where one can obtain one of these: HHO Generators

i hear that autowrench!i have been reading about how America is raising gas prices to $5.40 a gallon!this really sucks.this HHO system would be very useful to people who drive large vehicles like trucks and heavy cars or any car that runs on an internal combustion engine.HHO converters looks like a great money saver.
