NO
1st all the superpowers all the naive posters want are already within the potential of the human genome
said posters are your typical consumers and want instant superpowers instead of doing the necessary work.

also what makes you think that TCOTBIP are going to give you powers that could be used to expose/destroy them?

what makes you think they are going to give up any control in the matter?

Strikeforce:_Morituri

Strikeforce: Morituri is a comic book series published by Marvel Comics from 1986 to 1989. The series was created by writer Peter B. Gillis and artist Brent Anderson. The premise is that aliens have invaded Earth and nearly succeeded in conquering it and stripping it of its resources. A scientist discovers a process which can provide humans with superhuman powers, effectively creating a group of defending superheroes. However, the process would also ensure that the empowered humans would die within a year of being empowered. The series thus focused on the heroism of the main characters in fighting the invaders, while living with the knowledge that their fates were sealed regardless of whether or not they prevailed. The title comes from the Latin phrase: "Morituri te salutamus" (We who are about to die salute you!), a salute that according to popular legend (not academically agreed) was uttered by Roman gladiators before battle in the arena. (See Wikipedia's article on this expression: Ave Imperator, morituri te salutant). The subtitle of the comic was "We who are about to die".

Basically if the Earth had some data that there was a force of evol Aliens coming this way would you except a genetic modifier that would cause physical changes when certain neuro chemicals are released. I am not going to say what type of modifications I will leave that up to your imaginations. But would you. If it made you stronger?

LE me know ATS and answer please with as much respect to humanity as you can.

It would all depend on who will be left to lead if I become genetically modified. If the world will go back to what it is today after we defeat the aliens than I will not fight them. I would rather the aliens wipe out most of us so we could rebuild from scratch with equality than risk my life to go back to lies and deception.

No I wouldn't . I would have to know what exactly the genes entail. As I am suspicious that the PTB would hatch such a plot to dimnish our own genes. I would do that if I get to inject the same gene modification to all the rich men here on the planet myself.

Yes i would accept genetic alterations.
But I would accept it with or without aliens attacking the planet.

Or more likely accept genetic modification and then either help the aliens or simply leave with them.
My place is on earth but given the chance I would leave in a heartbeat.

What if their genetic modifications were going to be tested by all of us who are picked or volunteered, but we all have defects like lab rats, before they give those gen. mods. to the billionaires when they arise from their bunkers.... Think green, recycle.

Exitus Acta Probat. The result justifies the deed and when it comes to the survival of our species nothing would be off-limits.

If I knew it was for the best of the all, yeah. Because the government said though? How the hell can we trust these guys? So basically, probably not. The governments have done their best to crush us for thousands of years, so screw them if they proposed it with some rant about it being needed. They have no leg to stand on when it comes to us trusting them.

To the poster that said no if it meant saving Humanity : we're all equal, just because we've been screwed over and turned into something a lot less than we're supposed to be it doesn't mean you should disown your own people. I'd go through thousands of modifications if I knew it meant truly helping us. We're well worth saving, and anyone out there that doesn't see that needs to get in touch with themselves.

Just so you know too : some people on this planet wouldn't need any modification, because they're in touch with what we're supposed to be. If provoked they'd be like a very advanced being that's been prodded with a stick one too many times, and several Alien species out there would probably be moving out of their way pretty sharpish if they existed.

If the governments had treated us how they should have they'd not need to worry about war so much, and we'd need little, if any, modification.

A wise man once said "Never fly the A-model of anything"

I`d let somebody else test it out a couple of years first.
It wouldn`t take an event to make me want to do it, if it would benefit me. Besides if you believe in Ancient Visitors like i do then you know it wouldn`t be the first time human went through this.

I'd go through a million modifications starting tonight if it meant stopping a war too.

If you believe that the cosmic conflict scenario is real then you would already know that bad "alliens" have lived on planet earth way longer than man has, and has misguided him for his pleasure and entertainment value. We are nothing more than obedient slaves to them and nothing short of outside help can change anything.

Perhaps this is why our governments keeps hinting to project bluebeam as being a false flag alien invasion....because they will use the alien cover to exert a global dictatorship under the guise of "we must fight the enemy to prevail as a species". Honestly I am not sure if the elite are with us or against us, but all you have to do is look at how mismanaged the current global status quo is to understand something is probably wrong somewhere. Will good aliens help man or simply let the bad aliens finish the job? Will project bluebeam be our govenment in disguise or the long waited for elohim?

Too many questions with too few answers! To answer your question NO I would not accept any genetic modifications for ANYTHING because I have grown leary of false promises with monstrous bad results. I would rather fight super-advanced aliens with my 12 guage shotgun and lose rather than take stupid chances. We are going to lose anyway so what difference does it make? I would rather lose to the reptillians rather than lose to back-stabbing humans. That is my opinion and I feel strongly about it! The elite have developed super technology but it appears they are using it for all the wrong reasons...they are fighting the bad fight rather than the good fight so that makes them my enemy out of necessity. Of course they had to side with evil because the good aliens would not give us any technology so I guess its catch-22. If the good aliens are so good then why did they abandom their brothers? Hmmm

Yes its confusing!

I think I would accept any genetic modifications that improved my body in any way. I'd probably even go full cyborg like General Greivious from Star Wars. No pain, no fatigue, super-strength... Hell yeah, sign me up.

We probably do need outside help at this stage, but if we were all in touch with who and what we really are, any Aliens using us as slaves would probably be gone inside the hour, and they wouldn't dare come back.

Dunno if you are aware of this, maybe you are maybe you are not. But they are about to release a new Crysis game. The first game the aliens visited north korea. This game they have invaded new york. It has been determined by certain folks our bodies are to frail to battle the aliens. So each soldier is given a nano suit that allows him many unique abilites such as enhanced strength, speed, invulnerability, and even a cloak like the predator. Its not exactly Superman but its very interesting. I think the majority of people would take some kind of "upgrades" to fight an alien invasion force.

Yup! Not into war or the whole Alien fighting thing really, but the first Crysis game was such a work of genius and this one could be legendary if it's better. Just hope they keep the sandbox element and haven't dumbed it down for the masses, etc. Sandbox games are by far my fave when done properly.

I personally would help aliens. We are disease to this planet. Then I would turn against them and defeat their whole species so I would save Mother Earth.
After that I would marry Mother Earth and make babies to her. We would life happily ever after.

I am the first one to say the human race is on a steep, black-ice slope and going off a cliff, call it a slow painful death and we are just so preoccupied w/death, destruction, cruelty, poisoning the Earth and other stupid Human tricks to notice s(^&*. I would dance in the street if we were "helped" out by ET's, and they take, they would not need to ask, for nothing. But the idea that all Aliens w/superior technology are the cute, (or not-so-cute) Close Encounters kind (the not so cute, though thats subjective, in the movie, I'm thinking of the "praying mantis") with nothing but kindness in their heart/s or what ever, to me is wishful thinking. The basic argument is if "they" made it past they're early period that people assume they may have been warlike but evolved beyond that "phase" or they would not have survived... To me thats wishing for the best, but one has to consider so many other potential risks. Also assume a species is by nature warlike, hive like perhaps like an ant colony. Oh their united, so to speak, but don't observe or seem to, some version of the "Geneva Convention". They make war against other ants NOT of the "Pheromone identifiable fingerprints" are turned into slaves, eaten, or turned in to a to a TV diner for the larva, and non-ants who get in the way? Same

Whatever you think about certain aspects of how aliens may "behave," I would always be concerned w/"Do they play well w/others" Most notably not of their kind? Even the most civilized among humans, the kind among us, to all creatures, and not just the ones who try not to fart in church, are usually understandably "human centric" If someone is kind and gentle, treats all humans w/the utmost dignity and all life with respect thats to me is what I hope we see in other advanced ET's. Yet consider this. I like many other people have taken antibiotics, in a few occasions no doubt it saved my life. That would have killed billions of bacteria. I have always believed all living things have the universal right to defend themselves, family, etc. I not only took out "the bad bugs" that were turning my leg colors Walt Disney would have been wowed by, but maybe TRILLIONS of the organisms that are vital for health/digestion in my gut. C*x#@* talk about collateral damage...

It's just that we don't think of that when we do things like take Septa, et el. to save our lives. One has to know something as worthy of not destruction, as in do other life forms see us as anything more then a boil on this Earth? While I do, hey I am one of the boils on the planet, and I see humans having potential beyond current belief, I see through human eyes. And only that. Both mathematically and some might say quantum mechanics points to the fact it's not beyond probability that some ET's could be very dangerous. Just math, by the way. But by no means impossible. As w/the chance SETI will find ET life w/"radio," to me thats as likely as looking for the "most likely and advanced form of communication" centuries ago, smoke signals. But thats a whole other area to get into, and I do by the way feel the probability of ET, and extra-dimensional, trans-temporal and more forms of life is as close to certain as possible. I'm still waiting to see something, actually experience something but no dice. I hope I'm wrong about SETI. And boy do I pray I'm wrong about the potential for real "Monsters" In the end, I think any life form will ALWAYS act in its best interest. If its make happy and giggles for Humanity, hey I am a terrible dancer. But I don't care...

thats an interesting tread
i think it should be at Philosophy and Metaphysics but who cares

erverybody knows that in extreme situations the human body can do "impossible" things like lift a car if someone you love is in danger or run faster if you literally run for your life.

The brain is the place where it is controlled.
Good example of whats possible to the human brain is the savant syndrome

"Savant syndrome (pronounced /səˈvɑːnt/[1]), sometimes referred to as savantism, is a rare condition in which people with developmental disorders have one or more areas of expertise, ability, or brilliance that are in contrast with the individual's overall limitations"
en.wikipedia.org...

And it is no secret that soldiers all around the world had been "upgraded" with drugs, or at least it has been tested.

So if i had the choice to fight for my life with or without a modification i would definetly choose the upgrade!
