Tomb of a Wari noble found, may be as important as the Lord of Sipan

The Wari culture tomb was found in Cuzco and may change all we know about Pre-Hispanic Cultures.

Very nice find! That's a lovely breastplate and does show some of the Mayan elements. The face mask is particularly interesting... wish I could get a nice long look at it!

thats really a nice find. wish there was more info on the culture. never really heard of them and im from Spanish decent. It does look very mayan. wonder what the story is there?

Thanks. I read another article about it, saying there are a total of nine tombs together. Amazing.

They started to call it " The Lord of Wari" (remember Lord of Sipan?). The Wari culture was before the incas, they conquered almost all the peruvian territory and they had contact with the Nazca culture. They also reached the amazon jungle, probably that's why the incas knew where to built the Paititi.
