Cathy Zoi, who was the Acting Under Secretary for Energy and Assistant Secretary for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy, is going to work for a new cleantech private equity fund sponsored by George Soros and a prominent Silicon Valley venture capital firm.

Just another example of the dirty business of our government - I am not referring to the Obama administration, I am referring to every administration since perhaps Eisenhower.

This gal was conflicted from the get go and has several disclosed interests in the clean energy space, all of which will be significantly supported by Obama's green jobs initiatives.

This IS exactly the type of nonsense that Obama said he would not condone with his "Hope & Change" bromide.

There is no way that someone should be able to spend two years as a high ranking official in the government, enough time to staff the place with lackys and then leave that $200K job and take one with a VC firm investing in those very technologies that her former department will advocate $billions to, that will surely pay her several $millions a year. Good investment on her part to take the government job and use it as a stepping stone and excellent investment by Soros who will continue to pull the levers of government for his own financial gain.

This is the type of garbage that should be illegal. People in government should be prohibited from taking private sector jobs where the firm they work in can substantially benefit from their influence. A minimum of a 5 year prohibition.

No different that Cheney and Haliburton. No different that Michael Chertoff leaving as head of Homeland Security and becomming the CEO of that firm that makes the body scanners being pushed into the airports by DHS.

Its all dirty
