"Hey Mr. Ambassador, what are you doing here?" a member of the crowd asked upon recognizing him, according to a video posted by the China-based blog Shanghiist.

"I'm just here to look around," said Huntsman, a Mandarin speaker, according to Shanghiist's translation of the video.

"You want to see chaos in China," the man said.
"No, I don't," Huntsman answered.

Uh-oh somebody got some serious explaining to do. If this is completely legitimate then the China could become very furious at the United States for the actions of our ambassador. This could get very crazy, very fast.

Good one, Misoir.

I've also been waiting to see if the ambassador get's in trouble for this for "freelancing", or was he told to be there at the protests.

That is definitely a thought, I never even consider the possibility that he was set up to do this, i.e. orchestrated.

Given that many of the activists and people who were 'naturally' drawn to the potential protest sites, WERE ARRESTED, I would say that this whole 'Jasmine' revolution idea was drawn up by the Chinese government as a honey-pot to disrupt the 'revolutionary' underground in place.

Combined with the fact that the Chinese government SPECIALISES in honeytrap scenarios, I would suggest that the ambassador being manipulated is a strong contender as an explanation.

Yes, was he simply "playing tourist", or there for his own personal agenda, or sent by the administration to be a sort of thorn in the chinese side?

And
how did you get a star for posting the word "BUMP"?
