Fight back against PR companies ruling the MSM: Churnalism

I just ran into a wonderful article on Vigilant Citizen.

Most of the news comes out of PR firms. Journalism copy and paste corporate propaganda and report it as news, often without even checking the source to see if it is true. This is just another way they corporations rule our perception.

Now there is an innovative group who have come up with a way to see through this bias. They ask you to post any press releases to their website. Anyone can goto the site and examine an article and, if the pertinent news release has been put in... you will see how much is written by them and how much is actually lifted verbatim from the news release.

I find it sad that journalism is turning into nothing but rehashing corporate press releases and I, for one, am glad that there is now a way to check how much is just a re-hashed press release.
