ATF Gunrunning finally breaks into MSM news

WASHINGTON - Keeping American weapons from getting into the hands of Mexican gangs is the goal of a program called "Project Gunrunner." But critics say it's doing exactly the opposite. CBS News investigative correspondent Sharyl Attkisson reports on what she found.

On those evil gun sellers:

Sources tell CBS News several gun shops wanted to stop the questionable sales, but ATF encouraged them to continue.

CBS News has been told at least 11 ATF agents and senior managers voiced fierce opposition to the strategy. "It got ugly..." said one. There was "screaming and yelling" says another. A third warned: "this is crazy, somebody is gonna to get killed."

Sure enough, the weapons soon began surfacing at crime scenes in Mexico - dozens of them sources say - including shootouts with government officials.

Why the hell do we still have these alphabet agencies? They go out of their way to make problems for us.

Anybody expect another Waco distraction or congressional blow off?

Something really bad or something really stupid. Prince William calling off the wedding would be enough to bury all this for all time.

I can see some sheep reading these stories and just when he's about to ask himself what the hell is wrong with the government he's been obedient too all his life a banner pops up announcing "Breaking News: William and Kate call it off!" and he's right back to being deaf dumb and blind.

How bout that shuttle launching today...or the evac. of people from Libiya. Maybe even a fluke string of twisters in the south east. Lots of things piling up wouldn't be surprised if something takes the spotlight...
