Libya: The World is Watching

The world is watching. If the international community convicts and executes Qaddafi of crimes against humanity for his senseless murdering spree, other oppressed people will rise up all around the world and demand their rights for freedom as well. In my opinion it is especially important for US politicians, especially Obama, to call for Qaddafi to step down until he is convicted in an international court for war crimes. Obama has just denounced Qaddafi's actions, but has not called for Qaddafi to step down.

Qaddafi has been called irredeemable, a lunatic. With his own people rejecting him as ruler, and after his brutal massacre, it should be obvious to all that Qaddafi has no legitimate authority to continue rule in Libya. In my limited opinion, he should be taken out as soon as possible to prevent the death of any more people who are risking their lives for freedom -- Qaddafi's life is worth nothing compared to the lives of the protesters that are fighting for freedom and liberty.

We need to do this because the world is watching, and we could be on the verge of a new, much more peaceful Middle East. We would send a message that the international community will not stand for mass murder or genocide in this day and age. Peace, stability, and prosperity in that region will only result in more peace, stability, and prosperity worldwide.

Stealth bombers, cruise missiles, drones, rods from the gods... it would have taken one surgical strike.

Why is Qaddafi still breathing?

Good thing we didn't let Libya fall into the hands of those dangerous rebels... they could be terrorists! China and Russia agree, Libya is a safer, better place!!
