Why are people cruel to each other?

It really baffles me as to why people are cruel to one another. Sure maybe it gives them a power trip, but don't they feel guilty? If i deliberately hurt someone, i'd feel very very guilty.

I'm not looking for sympathy, i'm honestly curious as to why people are so cruel to one another, and okay maybe a little advice.

Situation #1: When i go for my runs outside every day in the past week, these kids drive by and honk loudly right behind me and/or yell "[gay slur]!!!!" (but i'm not gay) at me. Today i had enough. When they yelled that at me, i turned around on the sidewalk and ran towards the car yelling "Say it to my face [donkey hole]!" I shouldn't have said that, but it hurts and i was pissed off. They drove back and said it again. Then when they were coming back a third time, i grabbed a big chunk of ice, and threw it at them. It hit them in the center of the windshield and they didn't come back again.

I don't even know these kids, but they look like college kids and i'm a HS senior. What should i do? Next time, should i get the license plate number and call the police? I can't really go at a different time, with school, homework, and it getting dark, and if i don't run, i'm stressed the next day. Changing up my route isn't really an option, there aren't many available routes. There are 4 of them and 1 of me, so i have no shot in a fight. My only hope is to run faster than them lol


Situation #2: I have a formspring, which can be fun sometimes, but other times, i get some very abusive comments. I know who is doing it, but because formspring is anonymous, i can't prove it's him. It's this very hateful kid in one of my classes. He's one of those really jerky preppy, rich kids that is just for some reason full of hate. I don't know how he knows this, but he knows i got cut from track. So he sends messages all the time like "How's track…. oh wait, you got cut hahaha" or "How many times a day do you think about killing yourself?" or even "What's the best way to kill a senior who got cut from track?"

Just to get a rise out of you they show off and make you look like a twat one day you loose control and look like a twat they win. remove the time in your life to think about these people theyre not evil just donkey holes as you put it hehe.

The reason why a person would be cruel to another person is because they are confused and self-abusive.

Why? Because thats who we are. Evil, mean, fuacked up species.
Thats why I hate us. I wish I was never born as a human .

Humans are disgusting creatures who seek to hurt and maim. Its how we made it this far. We all have a dark side and have the ability to hurt for no other reason. We all have, teasing a younger sibling, another person, getting frustrated and yelling back at someone. Have a bad day and loose it with a random person.

LOL. Teasing and yelling? What form of utopia do you think should exist? We all sing koom ba ya and smoke peace pipes all day?

It's all about power... not personal power over things but Energy.

Everyone who uses any sort of tactic to belittle others does it for the energy they get from the target. If you can see energy then you will notice it all the time. And the reason for it is to Feel better about themselves by taking from you.

The same thing applies to peope who hog conversation.. because people look at you when you talk to them, their energy is focused on You.. and thus it flows To You.

There are four main tactics used to take energy from others. And at some time in our lives we have all used each one of them. Some people prefer to specialise in one form that has worked well for them.

The firsty book I suggest to anyone seeking spiritual understanding is "The Celestine Prophecy" because even though it is only Fiction, it describes perfectly the four tactics used and how energy is fought over, etc. Well worth the read for an Insight into human dynamics.

No, I actually like distopia prefer it that way.. I have a very negative outlook on the human race but a utopia is just not my thing I like chaos. Making that assumption is absurd

It is like a power trip manipulation thru fear..Life isn't always fair & some people think they are better than others..At the end of the day, what can be done? This world is cruel, people are cruel..people like that want want a big reaction to their teasing and meanness.the best thing to do is ignore or laugh and show it doesn't bother you.. .just my 2 cents

IMHO humans are cruel because of society as a whole, TV, movies, technology, dog eat dog, give head to get ahead. There cannot be one single reason for it, it just is, we are no different than the horrible medieval times, only diff really is more apathy and shiny gadgets.

Having money doesn't make someone mean.

I'm sorry to hear you are going through this. I have often wondered why some treat others like crap for no reason. This person that is tormenting you may be going through a painful situation their self. Unfortunately you seem to be the target they chose to unleash their frustration on. From my personal experience, the ones who doing things to others like this are suffering from something as well.

I know some don't think violence is the answer, but sometimes a bully needs punched in the face. If I was you and knew who was behind the harassment, I would knock their teeth down their throat!

As they were calling you names ? then reply with..'It Takes a ..(add insult)... to know one doesn't it...? and look them in the eye, Laugh and walk away....

Situation 2

I do not know what a formspring is ? however the little rich kid is obviously taking out his frustrations from his home life out on you for some reason............
Agree with the comments and ask for his help with solving them.... he will soon get bored because he won't have a clue or any answers, most people don't........... then say you slept with his mom and she was rubbish which explains you her son .....

Then walk away and smile........... no harm done really and you will feel alot better...

People are cruel because of chem trails.
The filth that they spray out of those planes is actually a solution that is designed to allow demons to enter into people.
If it lands upon you, it leaves you open. Soon after you will become cruel as the demons take possession of your soul.

I actually choked a kid last year, who was picking on me since the 4th grade. I was suspended for 3 days and the vice principal basically told the kid to stay away from me & not talk to me or he would be punished.

That resulted in 2 things happening:
1.kids who were picking on me before either stopped or started to being more friendly towards me.
2.some other kids starting looking at me and treating me like i was crazy & would be the next Columbine shooter.

These retarded behaviors are probably due to cigarettes, alcohol or antidepressants. These heavy drugs can severely alter the proper functioning of the brain.
