The only thing to worry about slightly in space wise 2012 IMO is solar activity. Most of you that have educated yourself with the calendar, needs no words to make you understand what they meant.

2012 is more of a money maker scheme these days. Websites selling survival supplies and offering memberships for escape routes, movies, documentaries, etc...

I suppose if I have a fear it would be some idiot(s) that have it drilled in their minds they the one(s) meant to trigger something and then they go off and do something stupid.

I live on the gulf coast though, we live in calamities. We are used to being forgotten and me and mine always stay prepared for anything, so we will just have to see.

I don't really know how i even started believing. It's just that, a lot of things coincided with one another..
I took some acid, watched the holographic universe, took some interest in what some of the 2012 speakers had to say.
I watched the Nassim Haramein DVD, that really got me going.

I do sense the amount of crap these people speak, but i kinda think its their ''thing'', so they don't attract any unnecessary attention. Some of them are way off.
The Great Year, tho, is a very good piece of documentary footage. It explains, that the so-called ''Nibiru'' object might be a star. If that were the case then the Sun and the other star would be orbiting each other. And it might be reasonable to believe that when the 2 stars are close together, the distance between them allows interplanetary travel.

So, that might be the origin of the ancient aliens myths.
Also, if you have seen some of the new biology information that is spreading out in the world, the thing that governs life is signal. Signals can be molecules, atoms, but also energy. And the thing is, if a certain type of signal is being received by the cell, and the cell doesn't have the necessary parts to make something out of it, the secondary signal will go to the nucleus, and bind to the protein protecting the part of the DNA that performs the specific function. So to say, if an energy signal that allowed telepathy was intercepted, the signal would make the cell be able to do telepathy.

Also, once i saw what matter was made of.

I'm a 'believer' on the subject but not in the doomsday sense. I think the conciousness shift or maybe even some sort of accension event will be far more likely.

To answer the OPs question....I'm not exactly sure why I believe. It's a very hard thing to explain. I guess it's just something that I feel, like times are a'changin. I have spent years researching to reinforce my conclusions and gut instincts and so far it has worked for me. I've become a serious coincidence theorist as things seem to have fallen into place far too easily. Some people could argue that I'm simply making my findings fit my beliefs which I can understand, but that would be a very negative way to look at it for me. I'm very grateful for the knowledge I've gained and even if 2012 passes with no event I will still be grateful to have taken part in this excellent adventure.

Be excellent to each other

Pointless.

There are two sides to this theory, one side believes there is something beyond what is being discussed in the mainstream while the other side is positive that there is not. There is no way for me to respond to any of your points without degrading into the realm of personal attacks or accusations of bias.

As an example...

I stated...

Odd coincidence that there are histories from several cultures over time that talk about an object approaching from the south and causing global havoc.

Your reply...

Can you give some information on this? I personally unaware of any such claims regardless of the direction of approach.

You found no mention of Tiamat, Nemesis, Wormwood, Marduk, The Destroyer Star...not even the Sumerian/Sitchin Nibiru? All of these, and many more, refer to an object that passes through our solar system.

How is it possible to have researched this topic without finding references to ANY of them?

The rest of my responses would unfortunately follow a similar format.

Another poster said it best...If people already have thier minds made up, why bother with these threads? Some of us wish to discuss the possibility, not argue about it. Every single time a thread on this topic is started it rapidly degrades into PROVE IT type posts on both sides (assuming that it didn't start there to begin with).

There is no proof that will convince someone who closed to the possibility.

Will anything actually happen?

No idea.

As I have said, there is no way to know for sure when this may happen if indeed at all. The Mayan's are the only ones who actually predicted a date and, as mentioned, given how many times our calendar has been changed there is no definitive way to know when the Mayan date will actually occur on our current calendar. Every other source refers to events that serve as a lead-up.

...but there is a relevant point to be made for all:

Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

I'd rather potentially waste MY time looking for evidence either way, instead of listening to paid-off mouth peices saying 'nothing to see here' via the MSM (only to be surprised by the truth when they can no longer hide it).

As I said earlier; on one hand you have historical records and evidence from across the globe that stretch back thousands of years. On the other hand you have the total denial of the last 100 years or so.

There are definitely logical explanations offered in modern times, which is why I continually say MAYBE.

I have to ask myself a simple question though: Who has a reason to lie to me? Ancients who possiblly lived through this and tried to leave warnings for later generations, or the MSM and thier supporters/sources who want to maintain the status quo as long as possible?

There is a life-long friend of mine that makes the best comment on this subject...

I get the same information from my wife and her family that I do from you, except thier info comes from the Bible.

You are both discussing the same thing, just using different sources.

One of the things that I will pack should this actually happen is a hammer and chisel.

I will personally carve a warning in stone for later generations.

Here is your original statement.

Odd coincidence that there are histories from several cultures over time that talk about an object approaching from the south and causing global havoc.

I asked the following because of the nebulous/vague nature of the statement.

Can you give some information on this? I personally unaware of any such claims regardless of the direction of approach.

Here is your response.

You found no mention of Tiamat, Nemesis, Wormwood, Marduk, The Destroyer Star...not even the Sumerian/Sitchin Nibiru? All of these, and many more, refer to an object that passes through our solar system.

You have listed a number of objects. Let's take a look at your list.

Take Nemesis. It was hypothesized to exist in the outer reaches of the solar system and never enter the inner part of the solar system. It doesn't approach or come from the south.

Take Marduk. That is Jupiter so that is known. It does not approach.

Destroyer Star. Which culture is this from?

Wormwood approaches from the south? Can you help me out on this? I don't see that to be true.

Sitchin's Nibiru is not supposed to approach from the south.

If you want to claim that there are lots of fictional accounts of things such as the modern hoax of Nibiru or the misrepresentation of Nemesis and Marduk then that is what it is. The southern approach claim is a modern invention that is a laughable attempt at telling fools why a new planet cannot be seen.

How is it possible to have researched this topic without finding references to ANY of them?

The issue is that yo are trying to twist these objects into a southern approach when some do not even approach.

There is no proof that will convince someone who closed to the possibility.

That is true. There are all too many people that are close minded and won't look at the evidence that this is nothing more than a scam.

As I said earlier; on one hand you have historical records and evidence from across the globe that stretch back thousands of years. On the other hand you have the total denial of the last 100 years or so.

If that were true why do you misrepresent the evidence? The Sumerian never talked about an approaching object. That was a modern hoax perpetrated by Sitchin. No one but bamboozlers claim a southern approach.

A fake is a fake is a fake and this claim of an incoming planet is a fake.

The Destroyer Star is the only one you don't know about?

So you have heard of others and didn't just Google the ones I listed (or you would have found info on the DS too).

Funny that you stated "I am personally unaware of any such claims regardless of the direction of approach."

I listed several historically mentioned objects without limits on thier orbital approach and yet part of your answer concerns what direction they come from?

LOL

Troll on my friend, troll on.

The fact is that you did not post historical information. You posted a list of names which are are not associated with an approaching object.

The destroyer star is some feeble hoax being perpetrated by Lucus. It's not based in fact or history.

Nothing you've posted is anything more than rubbish and you know it. Your argument invokes frauds such as Sitchin and Lucus.

Here is the original claim.

Odd coincidence that there are histories from several cultures over time that talk about an object approaching from the south and causing global havoc.

Show us link to cultures, not individual frauds, that talk about this. If you can't then it is clear you took the word of frauds hook, line, and sinker.

Out of 800 listed posts, all but 13 are in the 2012 forum.

Of those 13 there are 6 more on topics directly related to 2012.

793 / 800 = 99.125 %

You are either a troll singlemindedly pursuing an agenda, or you're on a payroll and just doing your job. Either way, since you obviously have nothing else to talk about but the 2012 idea why don't YOU present some PROOF as to why I am wrong.

What do you have as evidence for your opinions, and don't even think about a BS cop-out like "I've said it all before" or "I don't want to repeat myself again". You came into this thread and started making accusations and claims but in typical troll fashion offered nothing to support your own statements.

At the very least, you can link your thread where you have thuroughly debunked this idea for the good of all humanity (sadly, I don't see such a thread listed on your profile so I guess I'll have to settle for your all encompassing post on the topic).

Apparently you have ALOT to say on this topic...so step up to the plate and prove to me that YOU are right. After 25 years I have yet to see anything that makes me go from MAYBE to NO. Having said that however I AM open minded. Any LEGITIMATE offering will be examined because, like most here, I want as much information as possible.

That's why I am here, to learn what others think about this.

Present YOUR proof friend, otherwise...well, you know.

I don't believe this is correct. Although this is somewhat vague, such as when in history this was stated, I do not believe that several cultures spoke about an object approaching from the south and causing global havoc.

Odd coincidence that there are histories from several cultures over time that talk about an object approaching from the south and causing global havoc.

If you can substantiate this by telling us which culture, when, and where they made these statements that would be helpful.

Once again, you refuse to provide any information yourself.

I'll review your other posts when I get the time, but I serously doubt you have anything to add to this conversation but ridicule.

On another note, you mention bth Sitchin and Lucas as being frauds...I won't argue Sitchin, either he was the only one telling the truth, or he wove a great story (and I've only read a very small portion of his work for that reason).

Lucas however is an entirely different matter, whether you agree with the conclusions or not, he uses the same approach that I do.

Search the media and history books.

None of this changes the fact that in this very thread you have been asked several times to present YOUR findings and have refused to do so every time.

Man up or move along.

Whats it goning to be?

actually nibiru is supposed to have and oliptical orbit that only crosses upwardly through the plain that other planets orbit on and then back down again...so if u mesh that with a huge orbit of 3,600 yrs i doubt finding it would be easy...

especially when most dont want to believe it anyway...

it'd be like 1 million abductees with the same story trying to tell the world that something is going on and everyone else says go to rehab

or 1 billion homeless starving people crying out for help and the rest of the world saying die already...

hard to take care of business when your lookin the opposite direction..

one day you'll throw a pick six and find yourself down 3 touchdowns in the super bowl and wonder why no one listens to you anymore!
