Notice the many movies with Aliens coming out

Did anyone else notice that there seems to be a very high number of movies coming out in the near future with aliens in them?

Here are some I noticed:
Aliens and Cowboys
Paul
Mars Needs Moms
Battle: Los Angeles

Could it be that TPTB are conditioning us to slowly accept the fact that we are not alone? Are they going to stage an alien invasion on 2012?

Just seems unusual to me to have all these releases coming out in a relatively short period of time. What you guys think?

Hollywood has been making alien movies for decades now, its nothing surprising really. I doubt they are preparing us for anything other than spending more of our money...

Well some say its because of the "coming" disclosure.

But maybe its just because that aliens are 'in' again?

apart from Battle:LA the aliens are shown to be friendly and not hostile which is interesting...

Plain and simple, Aliens sell right now. There has been a resurgence in alien interest. Therefore, Hollywood producers are pumping out what sells. No different than when all the zombie movies were selling. Do you think that they were conditioning us for zombies 10yrs ago?

Right! The Kia commercial and also the trailer for that comedy movie with the "1 week hall pass from marriage" where the guy is at a club and the girl asks: would you ever willingly board a UFO? And the guy goes: I would if one came right now

Apollo 18? too...the olympics 2012 mascots and even the Go Compare advert in England has aliens on hahah its definatly the "in" thing at the moment!

I remember the same theory being bandied about in the early 80's with Close Encounters, E.T and Alien as the main reasoning behind it.

Who knows, only time will tell.

Nice theory none the less.

I also notice how many are stupid shoot-em-ups. I'd much prefer to see more movies like 2001, Close Encounters, Mission To Mars and Contact.

Alien movies were never "out".

I'm sure if you look back you'll see a popular alien movie for every year... Heck, some of the top grossing movies of all time are about aliens (Avatar, ET, etc.)....

Aliens are always a popular topic for Hollywood, so no real surprise, and no, I don't think it points to disclosure.

"Paul" looks interesting....like Shaun of the Dead meets E.T. (literally)....with a bit of Role Models thrown in...(but with Jason Bateman instead of Paul Rudd)...
