This is rather funny. What's funnier is all the new Walker haters shocked that he would take a call from a bigshot doner. I've not seen anything that Walker said that changes anything other than he was duped by some flunky claiming to be somebody else. What gets me is the union lovers shocked by this have no problem with Trumka on camera saying he has access to the White House whenever he wants. I guess that's ok to the union thugs.

You have a strange philosophy, filosophia, I detect it is an elitist streak in your philosophy.

I look at unions as a necessary reality in a world of imperfection. A balance to powerful wealth, that because of its wealth, usually gets its way.

Of course unions aren’t perfect and they have a degree of corruption, but you supposedly a philosopher should know better than to have such an opinion of something that exists for the poor man.

A couple of things bother me about this:

1. An elected official is providing detialed inside information on state business to a non-state resident who is in a position to financially benefit from it. The inside information includes tming of annoucnements, content of announcements, specific names and vulnerabilites of opposition legislators.

2. The conversation wanders into areas that could be construed as a multi-state conspiracy to deprive workers of their rights with central funding: the Koch brothers.

3. The governor seems more concerned throughout with winning than with consequences.

4. The ease with which he is wiking to lie by misleading: the whole bait and switch about "talking with the leadership" when he clearly stated it was merely a ruse to trick them. If he is willing to trick fellow legislators, he is willing to trick the public, too. It proves him an untrustworthy person. In my book, that makes him unfit for office.

5. Taken in context of the utilities sale provisions in the bill, it would seem he is tricking the public into letting him pass a bill that allows him to give away taxpayer-owned property for pennies on the dollar to the same guy he thought he was talking to.

I believe his conduct corrupt and criminal, falling under RICO.

The unions should pursue impeachment.

I always understood wire tapping is when a recording is made unknowingly by a conversation between two parties by a third party who uses an indirect method of recoding the conversation.

Elitism is for the common man, that is my philosophy. Noble truths that all people can comprehend. The enlightenment of mind. Transcendence of spirit. Unions have some good to them and the common man may find comfort in them but my philosophy is about empowering the individual so that unions are not necessary, nor any type of collectivist organization. Once the individual is empowered, then progress can be made in a positive direction and if that be a good union then that is the reality of what that will brought into reality. But I see the collectivist worker as not a parasite or the enemy but rather the exploited sheep. If the worker has it rough, why not the mill operator? The answer is because of corporatism, and corporatism exists because of the government. In a way the unions challenge the government but that is all the more reason why a mafia-type government would want to infiltrate unions. It's simple to comprehend, now whether or not it is true, only on a case by case basis, for the Wisconsin protests, I do not know, as for this phone call, it seems like a failure to make the union's enemy, the governor, look bad. This entire protest seems to me like it is slanted in a dull perspective. People are saying this is the revolution, like in Egypt. About what though? What dictator are they trying to oust? Governor Walker, not exactly comparable to Mubarak holding a 20 year reign. And what are the people fighting for? Collective bargaining rights. Why not fight for your constitutional rights?

Okay, so if you skipped that long rant above, I will summarize by asking a general question: Why would you protest for collective bargaining rights but not your Constitutional rights? (which are getting violated). It is on topic I believe because it goes along with the entire premise of this phone call, whether you think the governor is some evil schemer with the tea partiers or if you think he is a decent guy.

Have not even seen any direct quotes from the phone call that implicates the governor in nefarious or illegal activities. And you insult somebody that's not buying the pro-union propaganda and asks for proof of their claims?
