I'm a big lover of movies that screw with your mind. The definition can be hard to explain, since it doesn't only include movies with a good twist or a hard story to follow, like many David Lynch movies.

In this thread i will give a list of as many mindf''ck movies as i can remember in the thinking that other people like me, might love these and don't know everything that's out there. I haven't seen all the mindf'ck movies in this list, only heard they should have that label put on them. I will state which movies i haven't seen yet, behind every title, and recommendations will be most welcome from people who had seen these movies.

But the main reason i have created this thread, is from the purely selfish reason, that there are more movies which fits this criteria out there, that i haven't heard of and my hope was that some of you maybe could be able to recommend some of these.

Hopefully you can understand my meaning with mindf'ck now. I hope you have some of your own to add or can recommend some of the ones i haven't seen as a good mindf'ck. I marked the movies which i personally prefer, which is quite a lot of them, with the word "favorite" at the end, so you can get i picture of the type of movies you would like to recommend to me. But feel free to recommend any movie that fits this criteria, foreign and domestic, so other people than me, with a passion for this type of movie, can get something out of this thread.

If you don't know any other movie like this or haven't seen the one's i haven't seen, feel free to discuss the one's i have and give us your opinion on those.

I apologize in advance, if i made too many grammar mistakes or something, since i'm not to sure, because english is not my main language. I'm from Denmark, which is also why i would not mind at all, if you had som foreign movies to recommend, thank you!!

Pink Floyd The Wall (Haven't seen yet, anyone who can recommend it?)

I give it the thumbs up for sure (but I am a huge floyd fan so I might be biased)

I see you didnt mention the matrix, but I suppose everyone here knows about that one.

Other than that your list is either complete or I just cant think of them off hand. There are some real favorites of mine already mentioned.

Repo Man (Haven't seen yet, anyone who can recommend it?)

(Edit; my bad I thought you were talking about repo men(2010) not repo man(1984)

Moon is another good one for the list. en.wikipedia.org...

Akira should definitely be up there. It's an animated masterpiece and it is DEFINITELY a mind # movie.

Pink Floyd "The Wall" is the trippiest music video I've ever seen, I recommend it. I also recommend listening to Dark Side of the Moon all the way through.

You forgot Fight Club.

Never mind. I must have overlooked it. My apologies. An excellent list.

I love most of those movies. I wanted to add a couple.

Freeway (with Reese Witherspoon back in the day).

The Village (M. Night Shaymalan)

Also Lady in the Water also by M.N.S

I'm sure I can think of others. S&F, those I didn't see I will look into.

Peace, NRE.

"Nightwatch" and it's sequel "Daywatch" are both pretty wild movies and worth watching......
Definitely check out "Pink Floyd:The Wall", preferably on a nice 5.1 receiver.....
"THX-1138" is sort of like a low-budget "1984".A little slow in pace at times, but it's still good and worth watching just to see George Lucas' work BEFORE he did "Star Wars"....
And I see you are a Cronenberg fan-nice!

Have you mentioned IDENTITY starring Ray Liota and John Cusak?
You think its a run of the mill slasher movie until near the end they drop the twist in the tale on you and I promise you, you won't see it coming!
Its a classic.

Se7en

Went to see it with my gf at the time and she couldn't put a complete sentence together for an hour afterwards as she tried to come to terms with the twist (and twisted) ending.
