i was writing a long comment but stupid laptops suck so here goes the shorter version.

You talk like the states media with "official" statistics, words from know-it-alls and silly revolutionary talk.
Give me experiencies and unless you come here, dont talk about how much he's done-
Contrary to what he says, i am a venezuelan citizen and i have seen what chavistas and the military would do, pretty much a slow cooking cuba.
Come here and see the real venezuela, not the one you see in the media.
Come and dodge a bullet.Come and try to find milk and cooking oil.
Look for Tascon's List.
Im sorry but Chavez is just another military communist dictator pillaging an oil rich country,
I dont wanna insult you,but you seem to be mentally uncapable of searching for true information for you own means.I would recommend you try keepin away from propaganda, of any kind and making your own opinion, experiences and thoughts.
The enemy of your enemy is not your friend.

Sure he is. And he's ploughing it back into the country. Giving the people an education where before they were illiterate, feeding the destitute and impoverished.

He gets my vote every time. Watch the John Pilger documentary, you might learn something.

So you're telling me what's best for me?
I dont need a documentary.I can go to the nearest cdi, or socialist gathering.
Maybe you need to take a trip, instead of be watching documentaries.
Agree to disagree because the only way to see people like you get their minds back is when the military boot is inside your own anus.

Goodbye, and mind the words of a venezuelan more than a movie director,or an analist, or a government employee.

EDIT: well i also see chave'z family and his fellos golpistas(coup plotters) traveling to new york and buying hummers.
Yep,back to the country,And block me if you want.I could care less.Im not the moron, the moron is chavez, you only are a "useful idiot"(term the USSR used)

WOW!

I NEVER thought I would see the day....

Dictators are falling around the whole of the Middle East. I just hope Islamists don't seize on the chaos to install their Sharia dictatorships.

All of those emirates and kingdoms in Arabia are already Sharia dictatorships, the Saudis are the most strict of all of them.

The revolution is a liberal progressive one not a fundamentalist one. These people want liberty and human rights. Its like Western Europe in 1848 and Eastern Europe in 1989.

Libyan protesters 'in control of Benghazi'

In Benghazi, centre of Libya's unrest, tens of thousands of people took to the streets on Sunday and appeared to be in control of the city. Benghazi residents said soldiers from a unit had joined their protest and defeated a force of Colonel Muammar Gaddafi's elite guards. Gaddafi's 41-year rule in Libya looks increasingly fragile amid reports of the defections by elements of his military in Benghazi, the country's second city, and the first serious demonstrations in the capital Tripoli.

This power vacuum will empower the islamic radicals to fill that void --- with a caliphate.

It seems like if there were any time for the office of the Caliph to be resurrected now is that time. It would take a truly great, good, and completely popular young muslim to unite the middle east. And if that were to happen, it would be a revolution unlike anything our generation has seen.

Unfortunately, it seems like it will take time and patience before the Muslim world is ready to accept a single unifying leader.

I pray that it happens within my lifetime

What's gonna happen to his Amazonian Guard? Qaddafi's elite, highly-trained corps of all female bodyguards.

Here's what I found:

Five planes, a camel, a tent and 30 female virgin bodyguards...

Libya’s Gaddafi denies fleeing as cities overrun

TRIPOLI – Libyan leader Moamer Kadhafi denied Monday he had fled his country after protesters overran several cities, as his four-decade rule was under assault amid claims of a "massacre" in Tripoli.

"I am going to meet with the youth in Green Square," in downtown Tripoli, he said, in what state television reported was a live broadcast from the strongman's home.

"It's just to prove that I am in Tripoli and not in Venezuela and to deny television reports, those dogs," he said, holding up an umbrella in pouring rain while about to step into a car. Rain lashed Tripoli on Monday evening.
