We had a heavy landing craft in RAN the HMAS Tobruk, my cousin joined the ship in the US when it just had new doors fitted to the bow. These new craft look the goods though.
I served on a destroyer escort during the transition from Oberon class to Collins class subs we went from having the quietest diesel subs in the world to the loudest. As far as Indonesia goes a relative of mine recently got accepted into a cirtain intelligence department, i asked his father if he was told to start touching up on his Chinese or not his reply was not Chinese but Indonesian.

True, I think it was the Whitlam Government that saw Indonesia as a threat, but I really don't see that for a few years yet..

My favourite Aussie boat..The HMAS Jervis Bay..
I knew many guys that sailed on here, they spent a lot of time off the west coast..
Said the fishing was GREAT..

My cousin served on the JB it was commonly and accurately named the love boat, alot of females and two berth cabins. Formally the Able Tasman.
