I have read through the whole thread and my back wards mind still can't get it.

So I click the "Link to page or site" option and then what?

I don't seem to get a place to insert a link.

Being tech inept I thought it might be a good idea for me and others like me to have a place to practice the scientific art of embedding pictures, video and maps.
Often times I would like to embed a picture, map or video into a post and find myself editing the post several times, yet still I am unable to do it! Sometimes even my links come out all screwed up. Eventually I just give up.
