The conservative gossip monger known as Debbie Schlussel has achieved a new low with a frequent tactic of the Extreme Right by "blaming the victim." In the low life company of the likes of Ann Coulter, Michelle Malkin, Rush Limbaugh and Andrew Breitbart, Ms. Schlussel has proven once again which direction the moral compass of those she panders to points. Due South. (CBS Reporter Lara Logan was raped while covering the unrest in Egypt.)

So sad, too bad, Lara. No one told her to go there. She knew the risks. And she should have known what Islam is all about. Now she knows. Or so we'd hope. But in the case of the media vis-a-vis Islam, that's a hope that's generally unanswered.

This never happened to her or any other mainstream media reporter when Mubarak was allowed to treat his country of savages in the only way they can be controlled.

Now that's all gone. How fitting that Lara Logan was "liberated" by Muslims in Liberation Square while she was gushing over the other part of the "liberation."

Hope you're enjoying the revolution, Lara! Alhamdilllullah [praise allah].

SCHLUSSEL SMEARSITE SOURCE

In a word....pathetic.
I call upon the many Right Wing sympathizers on this site to hereby denounce her deplorable actions.

Wow, just wow. She deserves to be fired and never be put on television again. What happened to the reporter was (i'm sure) very traumatic and care should definitely be taken when talking about it. That is such BS that this crap can hit the airwaves without someone shutting them down for being the scum of the earth. I mean, for christ sake, someone was beaten and gang raped, that is NOT funny, in any way. Shame on them for this disgusting "news" piece.

I just can;t believe some people, pure evil if you asked me. It's not bad enough that this woman was brutalized in the worst way she has to come home and listen to garbage from morons. Did you also notice the muslim references? There's a time for politics and there's a time to shut your mouth.

Wow, I'm surprised by the --cavernous-- lack of empathy from another woman. Maybe this Schlussel is so twisted, that she is jealous and wishes it were her.......
(Seriously, look at the scandals those types get caught in, under age boys, et al.)

This is without question one of the most offensive items I've ever read.
I can't imagine anyone being so cruel.....except of course for the other names mentioned in the OP.

At any moment she could learn that one doesn't have to go to Egypt to be raped by "savages".
They are in the parking lots at Walmart, and hanging out on college campuses, in bars with their roofies. Sometimes "home" isn't even a safe place.

What an idiot.

This is the lowest of the low. This woman has no soul and is absolutely cold. To not only treat the incident as no big deal, but to celebrate it and glorify the abuse as a victory is.............. the most disgusting thing I think I have ever read. I would think a woman would sympathize with another woman who suffers abuse at the hands of evil men.

This shows us all how polarization of political affiliation is nothing more than common, run of the mill brainwashing.

C u next Tuesday, you Mubarak loving, Glen Beck loving, Bill Oreilly loving bitch.

What this woman said was disgusting, not only blaming the victim but using this crime to further her political and religious bigotry.

However, aren't you guilty of doing the same ( albeit on a much lesser level ) ?
You appear to be exploiting this crime, and someone's reaction to it, and using it as a weapon for political baiting.

I don't do partisan politics, and I'm neither ''left'' or ''right'', but it just seems to me that your intentions of posting this story are more about belittling those of a certain political perspective than a general outrage at this woman's comments.

Aside from every vile and ugly word out of Debbie Schlussel's evil mouth, the other thing about this that makes me want to vomit, is that this broadcast was probably a calculated career move by her and her management. Disgusting.

Dear Sherlock, (Funny I always say that despite member's name.
)

Don't shoot the messenger.

Perhaps my disgust and outrage was amplified in my tone, but I refuse to stand idly by in the midst of her deplorable diatribe. However, it is a stretch to assume that me bringing this reprehensible display of ambivalence as being on par with her insensitive remarks as equal. If I am guilty of exposing extreme hypocrisy by be a hypocrite myself, so be it. Guilty as charged.

But the genie is out of the bottle and I am merely exposing her vitriol to the members at large. I'll let them decide., but thanks for pointing that out. (Heck I even toned it down as you will see by my edit remarks.)

Dear Mr. Kurious,

I did say that what you were doing was on ''a much lesser level'' than this Debbie Schussel woman.

It just seemed to me that you didn't waste much time using this as an opportunity to do your own personal ''smearcasting'' on one political side.

If some people on the right are echoing this woman's views, then surely that should speak for itself about those people's general moral and humanitarian standards ?

I don't know, I think that either side trying to use this serious crime for their own political ends is all rather distasteful.

Do you mean like this?

So Is Ann Coulter Glad That CBS Reporter Lara Logan Was Gang Raped?

...conservative commentator Ann Coulter was asked what is more important to America's values: maintaining a strong relationship with Israel or "knowing there are jailed dissidents and journalists." "What do you mean, 'knowing that there are jailed journalists?'" Coulter answered. "I think there should be more jailed journalists."

See, Beck, Coulter and all of those type feel totally comfortable with the risks they take because all the people who would rape and kill journalists are on their side.

What a POS thing to say. You don't know them anymore than I know you. Who are you to so freely judge? What would happen if we shine the spotlight on you? Are you so willing to cast the first stones?

First off, they choose to put themselves in the "spotlight." Second they say things just to keep that spotlight on them. And third, they're whores for money and they have ugly souls. Anyone who pays the slightest bit of attention can clearly see this. And the people who continue to empower them are probably no better in their souls.

What a joke this woman is.

I'm picking up the fifth stone. They already picked up the first four.
