I have a few issues with this:

1) Shutting down a site by removing it's domain name is not going to stop someone from getting there by IP.
2) The falsly targetted sites are now being held hostage with the label "Child Molester" for 3 days.. That's enough to permenantly destory some small businesses.
3) What does child porn have to do with Immigration, Customs Enforcement, or Homeland Security?!? This should be the FBI's pervue at most. Or is this the result of the Patriot Act?

Regardless of the alleged crimes, these heavy handed actions are smacking of government censorship at a time when the US is railing against government control of the internet. There has been no trial by jury and in the case of the file linking sites, there was not even a crime involved.

Hypocrites all of them!

Child porn? accident? What a crock

I googled mooo.com out of interest and the very first link was a wikileaks link at newworld.mooo.com

re #1 -- from what I understand, the domain name was a nameserver for those innocent 84,000 webmasters, so all of their domains probably had the wrongfully-seized domain listed as such, which would indeed shut everyone down.

re #2 & #3 -- exactly
