Well there is a fault there and a new magnetic fault found last year.
There was a great thread on ATS about it with info: San Andreas like fault found in the Eastern US.

I feel your concern for the area, as I am in East Tennessee. I had a friend move up here a few years ago from New Orleans, when buying his home owners insurance he asked about quake insurance. The agent responded it probably wasn't necessary because we haven't had a huge quake. His response? That is what was said about New Orleans and huge hurricanes!

I'm consistently feeling small shakes at my house. But it never lines up with quakes in the area. My husband just pats me on the head and tells me "they" must be tunneling again.

Robin and Puterman, and everyone who has added input to this thread, thank you for all the excellent info and hard work. I dont post much but I have followed this from the start.

Was reading an unrelated article on the toxins used in refineries that was reported by ABC and the center for public integrtiy. Here is a link to the center. I am at work and didn't get to check the site thoroughly, but a possible outlet for the fracki info. WWW.publicintegrity.org.

I'm just going to thank you all again for listening. I had to get away for awhile and clear the head. It worked. But I'm not up to speed yet. I'm so glad when someone asks me a question, and I'm not around to answer, another person steps up to address their concerns. I'm not trying to ignore anyone.

Glad the webicorder I watch is back up. I wonder if they'll reset it's sensitivity and put it back to normal. I used both systems to look at the quakes.

I'm also so happy you've been able to find other research that I was unaware existed. You're efforts raise my spirits, but the information just is, well it's damned depressing and makes me angry. A glutton for punishment I suppose. No, I simply want the fracking to stop. We need a revolution. We need to take back our communities and our nations from the corporate interests that are destroying lives and enviroments.

I know many of you want a prediction or to know if your area will be hit by a big quake. I've thought through this story and I have a vision of one possible ending. I don't even like thinking about it. I want to tell you all what I see for the future. But I don't want that future. So I'm trying to stop it before it ever happens. I don't think I need to frighten anyone to make my point. The obvious dangers of fracking are so widespread, that's all it should take.

All it should take in this case is shining a light on the subject. Sunlight is the best antiseptic.

Arkansas quakes in abundance now.

Strange how they lessen for a few days and then return one after the other.

They seem to be slowly increasing with more of the quakes in the significant zone with 3's and 4's

Is anyone else having issues pulling up the "ta" bhz stations around the area of concern?? yesterday i was able to view these on GEE. but today its saying no data avail, through out all the "TA" bhz stations

well the day shift is over at the well. its slowed down now lol

It's been going off and on line on all day. There has been some rumbling and shaking all day, thunderstorms are also heading into the area now, with it down it's sometimes hard to tell what is actually going on until you feel a light shake.

I've been spending all my free time reading posts and getting caught up since I found this site. Thank you for all the great info and links. Arkansas is the canary in the mine. It's just a matter of time for all of us!

I'm from Pennsylvania, and we are having problems with fracking too. No earthquakes yet that I know of though. Mostly lack of disposal regulations. I read last week where they are dumping some of the used fracking fluid in rivers. So every town/city downstream that gets their water from the river is drinking this stuff! The chemicals used are a big secret, but even so, the water treatment plants aren't equipped to treat for these types of contaminants!

There are so many companies going door-to-door to get people to sign leases. This week I heard where someone is now trying to buy out leases for a lump sum! And the sheeple are so excited! Looks like the saying should be, "You can fool most of the people, most of the time, if the dollar signs in front of their eyes are big enough to obscure their vision!"
