yea i always update after the page is full. lol. i figured out the code lol. but its strange to me wouldnt they just change the data from the point of change? there was data on the page and they reset the page at 00.25 not at the start. and it went an deleted the the data?

All completed days are stored here so you can get 'back copies'. When I change the day over I store the previous day here. Go to the plots folder and you will find them all there.

thats what im saying it looked like a long wave on the meter. not the jolt and die off

i just change out the last number in the link WHAR.AG.00.HHZ.2011.055 to 054,053,052 you can also view them that way works on all siesmos so far lol

I had to figure that out because i was jonesing and the page was full, and my hero Put wasnt here to tell me how to do it lol.

Yes it does indeed work on all of the but it only goes back as far as data is held on the BUD system at the DMC. Once it becomes archived data it is no longer available.

I have back to day 34 on that link I just gave. (In the 7z file). The data centre only has back to 038 on line now so you can't get 34, 35, 36, 37 any more. That is why I store them!

Another item for you. Change HHZ to HHE or HHN to get the East and North channels as well. Z is only the vertical channel and most seismos have all three East, North and Vertical.

Try it and tell me what differences you see!

hero cookie should have had you back in st helans days lol.

if you look at the bottom graph does that show one long quake at 00.20 or and all 3 look to run without a break. it sorta looked like that before it changed

The 3.4 was about 6:30 or something then the 2.4 hit

My husband's family has lived in Wabash Indiana territory since the mid 1800s. I will ask them if they remember seismic activity.

The earthquakes I remember as a child (in NW Indiana) were big rumbly things.

What I am feeling here in Missouri are lighter and jittery, definitely shallow. Like a truck passing by or someone running through the house-rhythmic and chattering. I am also noticing window sills giving off a "pop", then another "pop". Like all through the house, a ripple effect of pops, maybe 5, then silent. This has happened twice in a week.

FYI We live near a quarry and I always know when they are blasting. Totally different feel.

On quakewatch the 6:29 quake was a 3.4 but now it's been downgraded to a 2.6

The USGS still has both up

There were two quakes. One 3.4 and the other 2.6.

Are the fluid dynamics mentioned part of your ideas in how the moon relates to the seismic activity?

As to the seismo adjstment, turning down the scale and sample count is the equivalent to placing a thick towel on a microphone. You're restricting both the input and sensitivity of the instrument.

Now quakes appear much smaller and lower intensity seismic activity is occluded.

Yes, yes and yes.
But to clarify, I've only developed a crude hypothesis on the moon's influence, and it's soley unique to Yellowstone. The next post I'll put up the list of links Starflower gathered, it's the National Geographic article in Moon links.

The moon is only a trigger and for most regular quakes it's a statistical observation. You can't really see it and point and say, oh there did you see that. Well, that's not true, it happen once, when I predicted the swarm at Yellowstone. I'm telling you, I'll never forget it, and it was amazing to watch it unfold before me. I tried to get others to tune in, but.... one day, one day,
and I can't forget all the friends of Arkansas. And the Arkansans.

If you want to form your own opinion, go back and dig through the Yellowstone thread, using dates of the swarm, January 15th 2010 onward and read it for yourself. Check Dec. 28th 2009. Then use the moon apogee, perigee calculator and see if you can see the future.

This is a thread is fantastic, I've been following it from the first day it started. We had an unusual earthquake here in Ontario today near Windsor. The magnetude was only 3.0 but not very common. Here is the link It may not be related to the fracking in Arkansas, but could possibly connected to the New Madrid Fault?

I was also following another interesting thread "Cracking an eggshell" and there was a suggestion that proposes the possibility of the New Madrid fault connecting with the fault that lies under the St. Lawrence River. This quake in Ontario might be an indication of this. However, I don't know of any fracking in this area but there are salt mines under Windsor. So who knows... I just thought you may be interested to know about it.

P.S. I don't believe it shows up on the USGS maps, unless I wasn't looking in the right spot.

ive said it for 20 years or better the moon is the key. does mars have earthquakes, i think your allong the lines robin but instead of progression, what about line up above and below the equater long lat triangulation?
I think it would be a simple force formula. but I think we just do not have all the pieces yet or the formula.

sun activity=a
relationship of moon=b
realtionship and force direction of sun=c

Im sure that magma causes all earhquakes, its the relationship of the magma the amounts of preasure the faults can take
sorta like cooking with a tight fitting lid, once the heat builds up and steam it pushes the lid off the pot till the presure is let out.

Sorry about spelling. byproduct of non union public schools lol

i wanted to add that for the last 3-4 hours ive had a headache and feel sea sick (never been sea sick evan in 40 foot seas.) and a lot of poping of windows and my tv stand. but its like every 3 min a big pop in the house. also keep feeling what seems like itty bitty jolts. probably just nerves.

anyone have links to a good siesmo around mt baker.

in my head, it's a pump. the tides ebb and flow. within the earth, the moon primes the pump

another big double hit. Strange i think how there becoming big long quakes, with double and triple hits.

That's why I think there's fluid moving. I've noticed the same thing happened at Yellowstone during the last big swarm.
