What if we are already delusional and making totally false assumptions?
In that event, wouldn't a distortion event cancel out the effects and leave us finally seeing things clearly?

This is from another thread, however I think I might have hit the nail on the head....
If what I am saying is correct, then there might be some kind of event that distorts our perception, I would imagine that the original collision would have disturbed the regular patterns of the flow of time, an perhaps that event produces a kind of time-skip effect, probably minute, but possibly enough at least to generate some kind of hallucinatory/disorientation effect.

Your theory I had to read several times to understand as the thinking is different from my and benedict9's line of thinking but anything is possible.
Here's what he said about my find about Tyche :
