"The United States is very concerned by recent violence surrounding protests in Bahrain," State Department spokesman Philip Crowley said in a statement

Right after they tell Iranian opposition they're on their side, this kind of statement is ridiculous. Total hypocrisy as usual.

"Very concerned" that people died protesting
or
"Very concerned" that the possibility exists their base of military operations (5th Fleet) could be at risk (highly unlikely though)

Me thinks #2 for some reason.

Protest is ok ,but violence should not occur in any way.

Indeed. Not to mention, if there's massive protests in Bahrain... the revolt could spread in Saudi Arabia eastern regions where all the oil is... and big trouble could happen.

Not a big surprise there's reports of Saudi Arabia sending troops in Bahrain to help with the protesters.

America sure as hell doesn't want to lose the home of their 5th fleet. That would be the biggest blow yet to the US.

just once I'd like one of these headlines to say....

"The U.S. VERY concerned about lack of jobs for it's citizens"

oh well, on topic again. this is the tip of the iceberg, plenty more civil unrest and deaths are around the corner there.

Very concerned that they need a real reason to invade Iran.

I think America is concerned that quarterly earnings need to keep up in the defense sector.

Remember it cost ~100,000+ civilians their lives to be "liberated" in Iraq. www.iraqbodycount.org...

Posted this link to an Iranian News channel on another thread, but judging by the fact that theyve been on about Bahrain since ive been watching, makes more sense to post it here. Also talking about Yemen, Tunisia and Libya problems.

wwitv.com...

Also the U.S. gets a lot of mentions, including deploying 200 warheads across Europe
cant find anything else about that at the minute, so could be B.S. probably not though

The world should be very concerned about what happens near the middle east. If world war 3 were to start anywhere it would probably be there.
