Who Are We?/David and Goliath


Forever awake as you dream by our side,
Hearts aching with Love for our slumbering bride.
Thy God-gotten form, prone,
In Starlight are we... Always bright,
As your beauty, which you cannot see.

Harsh tragedy torments our unbending minds,
As we battle the force that destroys humankind.
What if our mission fails?
And our words do not reach you?
Don't you understand that we're trying to teach you?

If one in ten people would stand up and say,
“I live life for my brothers!”
Not caring for pay.
What a different world in which you could reside,
Built on truth,
With kindness,
And Love.
Not pride.

How can you follow a being that couldn't care less?
“This life's about money!”
It's not, it's a test.
That very same person would tread on your corpse,
To save him from straining to mount his pale horse.
When will you listen?
When will you learn?
Or will you just sit there and wait for your turn?

Regardless we'll serve you,
Peaceful in sleep,
Defending your Castle,
'Til time comes to reap.

And when we arise,
Then, upon our return,
We will cause the Destroyer to suffer and burn.
And our light will shine,
For all those to see,
Who would forsake God's name and would persecute thee,
They will hide among rocks and will pay for their ways,
And there they will stay 'til the end of all days.
But the meek shall live on, and those pure of heart,
And with a new Earth we will make a new start.

And when we have sieved you,
At last we can sleep,
Then you'll take our place,
So we can count sheep.
