Newsmax ... News from the 'right' view ...
Obama 'Furious' With Hillary State Department Over Egypt

As Secretary Clinton and her special envoy Frank Wisner repeatedly called for an orderly transition that would include President Mubarak remaining in office for at least a period of time, Obama and his team studiously sought to undermine the State Department stance.

The Times states that Mr. Obama "was furious" about Clinton's and Wisner's statements, "as Mr. Obama was demanding that change in Egypt begin right away."

And now what the New York Times (really an Obama shill machine) has to say ....

New York Times - In U.S. Signals to Egypt Straddled a Rift

Mr. Obama was furious, and it did not help that his secretary of state, Hillary Rodham Clinton, Mr. Wisner’s key backer, was publicly warning that any credible transition would take time — even as Mr. Obama was demanding that change in Egypt begin right away.

Seething about coverage that made it look as if the administration were protecting a dictator and ignoring the pleas of the youths of Cairo, the president “made it clear that this was not the message we should be delivering,” said one official who was present. He told Vice President Joseph R. Biden Jr. to take a hard line with his Egyptian counterpart, and he pushed Senator John Kerry to counter the message from Mrs. Clinton and Mr. Wisner when he appeared on a Sunday talk show the next day.

The trouble in sending a clear message was another example of how divided Mr. Obama’s foreign policy team remains.

Between the two we get - Hillary and the State Department is doing things one way and Obama another.

Hillary's way would have kept stability and gained a positive change. Obama's way throws caution to the wind and leaves a power vacuum. Hillary's way is smarter, but Obama is supposed to be in charge so it should be his call, right? (or is that giving too much power to the POTUS and the State Dept really calls these things more then the POTUS?) Again, he looks impotent ... not in control of his own administration or appointees. And he called in John Kerry to try to get a job done????
That's scraping the bottom of the barrel.

The Headline says 'Obama Furious with Hillary State Dept.' ... The New York Times didn't actually say that .. but it definately is not a stretch. He was seething about the situation and of course Hillary and the State Dept were part of that situation.

Again I'm wondering if Hillary will run in 2012.
She's showing more ... um ... manhood .. then Obama in these matters.
(and common sense)

Rahm & Hillary! Never Waste A Good Crisis; Hegelian Dialectic & Karl Marx, Management By Crisis!!

What is the Hegelian Dialectic? Simply put, it is a dialogue between two people that hold different ideas, each one wishing to persuade the other. The presupposition of a dialectical argument is that the participants share at least some meanings and principles of inference in common, even if they do not agree. The Hegelian dialectic can be uses as framework for manipulating the masses into accepting a predetermined solution. In short the Hegelian dialectic is:

First, create or focus in on a problem of gargantuan proportions.

Second, stir up anger, and or hype by all means, using all forms of media.

Third, when people hysterically or angrily demand a solution – the solution offered will take away rights, cost considerable money, remove existing power from the people and give more power to law makers, or governing body.

President Obama's White House Chief of Staff, Rahm Emanuel echoed the Hegelian dialectic less than ten days after Obama was elected president. Emanuel said “You never want to let a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before” Emanuel was echoing the Hegelian dialectic; named after one of the fathers of the enlightenment, Georg Hegel. Students of Karl Marx call it “management by crisis”...

Hillary Clinton “Never Waste a Good Crisis”

Rahm Emanuel “You never want to waste a serious crisis”

Robert Gibbs “never waste a good crisis”

Wrong. Your bias in the matter is obvious. There is no way in this world except through slaughter of the protestors that Mubarek could have held his position during the transition.

Obama is right in supporting the will of the people. Clinton is wrong and her position shows a callous disregard for the man on the street in Cairo. If this serves to highlight a mismatch between hers and the president's views then great. Maybe its time for her to go.

Yep. Until he fires the witch, it's fake.

They are both puppets and give me a break Obama wanted change right away! Mwahahahaha. Mubarak was US puppet, no way he wanted him out.

If he really had, he would have supported protests from day one and told Mubarak to step down immediately. Even Biden didn't called Mubarak a dictator. And Hillary said Mubarak was stable... and lots of politicians in the US said Egypt was a good ally and Mubarak had made great things.

This is just an attempt to cover the real stance of the US government, which is SUPPORTING DICTATORS around the world.

Of course you are right about US policy. Clinton will tow that line, or push it, for sure.

I am not so sure that Obama is quite there. He can't come out and say so directly or the puppet masters would cut the strings. This "people supporting" Obama is more like the person he claimed to be when he ran for election. I have an inkling that this is the real him, and he is just playing the game by appearing to be the puppet.

I gave two articles .. one from the 'right' and one from the 'left'.
I stated which sides of the fence they are on .. and what we can gleen from them.
From them we get - Obama and Hillary are at odds and he's having a difficult time
doing the job - he had to call in John Kerry of all people.

Those are facts. They aren't 'wrong' or 'biased'.

I then stated my opinion that her way of being careful is better than mob rule.
That's not 'wrong' or 'biased' .. it's my opinion based on facts.

The effective leader recognizes the direction of the masses and jumps in front of the crowd - but appearing to join in a bit late has some PR value on the world stage.

When the crowd is already moving is not the time to try to stem the tide. Somehow, stalling for time doesn't really seem like a viable option regardless of how badly the US would like to orchestrate the transition of power in Egypt.

Mr. Frank Wisner, the "special envoy" is an interesting character. Apart from his untimely comments and urging Mubarak to remain in power, which were out of phase with the Obama administrations official line championing power to the people, there seems to be a lot being left unsaid about him.

For instance:

Frank Wisner: Paid Rep. for Egyptian Government and leading “commercial families in Egypt”

According to the website of Patton Boggs, which US Envoy to Egypt Frank Wisner is currently working for, the firm has represented and currently represents the State of Egypt and their cronies.

Relevant links are here and here.

Patton Boggs has been active in Egypt for 20 years. We have advised the Egyptian military, the Egyptian Economic Development Agency, and have handled arbitrations and litigation on the government’s behalf in Europe and the US. Our attorneys also represent some of the leading Egyptian commercial families and their companies, and we have been involved in oil and gas and telecommunications infrastructure projects on their behalf. One of our partners also served as the Chairman of the US-Egyptian Chamber of Commerce, promoting foreign direct investment into targeted sectors of the Egyptian economy. We have also handled negotiation of offset agreements and managed contractor disputes in military sales agreements arising under the US Foreign Military Sales Act.

and....

UPDATE: Wisner on Board of Commercial Int. Bank Of Egypt

Here

Ambassador Frank G. Winser serves as Non-Executive Member of the Board at Commercial International Bank (Egypt). He is the international affairs advisor to Patton Boggs LLP, a full-service firm with a national presence in every major area of legal representation.

Hardly ambassadorial material then, with such obvious and extensive corporate and personal interests in maintaining the ruling elite and the staus quo!

In the United States The White House dictates the policies and stances of the nation and it is not up to the State Dept to attempt to undermine, undercut The White House. Sorry, she is greatly overstepping.

Indeed it is the classic "good cop" - "bad cop" on an international scale.

Pretty much business as usual for this administration - the old bait and switch!

Hey look another crisis - let's see what social and financial reforms we can milk out of the fear.
