Divorce agreement
(btw, this was sent to me in an e-mail)
This is so incredibly well put and i can hardly believe it's by a young person, a student!!! Whatever he runs for, I'll vote for him.

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's for the sake of the kids, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has clearly run its course.

Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right for us all, so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:
--Our two groups can equitably divide up the country by landmass each taking a similar portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

This was the funniest part.

--We'll practice trickle down economics and you can continue to give trickle up poverty your best shot.

Ok you practice those trickle down economics when it actually starts to work let us know. Trickle down economics was tried before in the 1890's it didn't work then and it doesn't work now.

Just more of the same devicivness.

More "US" vs. "THEM" simpleton mentality which serves only to confuse simpleminded people into making an "Either OR" decision.

I hope more and more people will wake up to this false paradigm and realize that life has alot more options than just This or that,Democrat or Republican,Either Or,Left or Right,Conservative or Liberal,Up or Down!

This is very "lowest common denominator" type of thinking and it has worked for far too long.

That email is very well put, but you simply cannot split america into two pieces. This wouldn't solve the problems, unless every american would relocate into his favorite political part of america...

Sounds good to me. Americans need to be free in a constitutional Republic. Socialists need their Utopia. The two do not mix at all. One precludes the other. Time to split and end the misery and hate.

Have you ever noticed that people are easier to control when they are divided, hence the many political parties, various religions.....causes confusion and less organization among the normal people. Everyone is at everyone's throats because they don't want to work together and want to kill because of their opposing viewpoint, Islam for instance

Some great left/right paridigm thinking there. Clowns to the left and jokers to the right, and you are the one who wants a divorce?

Now yes I realize your post is meant to be humurous and political of a partisan nature but here is the real funny part.

You talk of the land mass of the United States as if Americans really own it as a whole, and Americans are really just liberals or conservatives, or basically with you or against you as many people lost in the left/right divide see it.

The Joke is on you because most of the American Infrastructure is in fact owned by European Banks, Royals and the Vaticans and it's not ours to divide or disperse anyway.

It never has been, we never finished paying the bonds, leases, and rents, and loans owed from the time of the Revolutionary War to a half a dozen sovereign entities and hundreds of corporate entities.

A large part of our national debt is based on this.

Not only do you not have the money to buy out the owners, they aren't really looking to sell. They like amassing and controlling things go figure.

What do you get to control? The quality of your assessments and arguments.

None seem to sound.

Yeah but the US has the best Defence Force so lets see them try to collect..
BTW, they probably own that to, but that's irrelevant..

Ohh, a little off topic but as for the splitting of land bit..
I heard a great story of two very early Aussie farmers..
They decided to split the partnership (land) so they decided that one of them would draw up the dividing line but the other got to chose which half they wanted..
Very clever..

I'm so sick of the right/left paradigm.

All I can say to the OP is that you are falling for the trap, and you need to look outside the box for answers.

The right/left are two sides of the same coin.

It takes some doing to finally figure that out, especially if you watch TV.

Get rid of the 2 party system. All that they do is bicker and get nothing done. They disagree just to disagree and we follow them. Both Democrats and Republicans are the problem. They're just like gangs, even use gang colors. If the country were divided how long until a civil war? We need the American party, and our color can be gray, mix all the colors. Nothing will ever change though, that's my opinion.

Or you could just emigrate to Afghanistan. We won't miss you.

Buhbye now, OP's letter-writer.

they are two sides of the same coin. the coin has it's objective, I am sure, and is moving steadily toward the goal, in unison. all the bickering is just a side show, to keep us amused, so we don't see where they are leading us. and all those things that aren't getting done, they are things that the people want to get done, not the leadership. all that bickering kind of gives both sides a good excuse as to why nothing relevant (at least to us) ever gets done when they come home to beg for votes!

as far as dividing the country into two parts.....
well, try three, or four, then five or ten, then 20 or 30....because take any group of people and I am sure you will find some kind of ideological difference that some in the crowd would think big enough to want to divde the group up. it's human nature, go to any elementary school, and you can see it if you watch long enough. the teachers, well, they see it to, and will purposely create group projects and mingle the groups....and the kids are mature enough to work within these forced group settings...

are you???

O.K., "Divorce Granted!" You can have Arizona and everything contained within it's borders, which is more than you deserve. All of the rest of the wealth you have stolen from working people must be returned prior to your receiving Arizona. Better yet, why don't you just leave wearing the clothes on your back and go to Mexico or China and live alongside your new employees.
