Why Is The Star Missing From Some Posts?

A Post By Aliengenes With No Option To Star

Instead of the "*" symbol, this post has a tilde "~". So we can't star it, if we wanted to.

It's not a "Board Business & Questions" thread.

The other posts on the thread have the "*" option.

I've seen this on a few other posts, and now I'd like to know "why?".

Because that member has been banned..
Wouldn't be good to see a banned member get stars..

Just a guess, but his profile does not show when clicked either - maybe he has been banned.
