Yes peaceful protest can work.

It worked here where I live ...in the former Czechoslovakia.

Great to see this... Now we wait to see what they'll do next.

What, you expect people in the west to remove themselves from their tv and computers for more than a day or two? nah

Well, in the west things are a bit different. Our corrupt governments rely on tricking us into being mad at each other, as opposed to the iron fisted approach eastern governments take. If everybody here were able to break free of those mental chains they have us in, and work together, it wouldn't take nearly as long as it did in Egypt, IMO. All we want is a government that truly represents the will of the people, not the corporations and elitists. Our basic structure of government is sound, we just need to end lobbying, and and the current 2 party monopoly.

Will give them a hand; to both the protesters and the military... such an amazing day for them. And so so bloodless and peaceful considering.

I pray to God, that our US military will stand hand in hand with it's citizens if they that ever comes. Good to see what an Army should do in a situation like this. Protect their people, protect their family, protect their country. Not those politicians who play chess with others lives.

~Winter~
ps. Congrats Egypt! Now please be careful and don't waste this chance!

Star

In cases such as these I always hear a little voice in the back of my head whisper...
Be careful what you wish for

I wish them the best of luck.

Godspeed.

Perseverance and determination has rewarded the Egyptians! What a beautiful sight to see! Isn't freedom exhilarating! I don't know how everyone else is reacting, but here, the tears are flowing. Appreciate what a truly historical moment we are witnessing right now!

I say give it a week till oppression starts...again
! If it can work in egypt it can work anywhere...U BETCHA

And on the other side of the coin…… If the “people” try to elect someone that the military leaders know will run them down a path of war, and they put their foot down to say “no way in hell are you electing that person”

Then watch the fecal mater hit the air moving device.
