Anonymous will end up as 2011's "Time Person of the Year." I foresee expanding efforts on their part, enboldened by recent successes. I hope their growing power does not end up consuming its own, as is too often the case with power.

As for the U.S. government, it no longer has ANY moral high ground on which to stand with now over a decade of unprovoked war and mass murder, of carnage for profits, as well as now routinely and even openly hostile and abusive to its own citizenry. Things like the Patriot Act and the TSA would not have been tolerated by the American public 40 years ago. As a U.S. citizen and veteran, that saddens me considerably, but I am not hypocritical nor dishonorable such that I can't admit the truth.

Most controversially, I suscribe most of the fault for this erosion of American freedom to the rise of American Christian extremism and radicalism. American Evangelicals are jihadists of the highest order, they merely have better PR and weaponry than their Islamic soulmates.

This is a silly argument, their point was that the USA government is funding/supplying Mubarak's regime when it is not in the interest of the Egyptian people.

It's pure hypocrisy when you invade two nations under the guise of 'liberation' but then fund an oppressor/dictator where it suits, it's becoming pretty clear that the only form of government that the USA endorses in foreign nations is whichever type best serves their own interests.

Why shout for your own freedom of speech and movement in US then complain when another nation does??

This group aren't hackers they have put their vids on U Tube for a while and what they say is true.

US Government has been giving Egypt one and half BILLION Dollars every year in Military Funds they HAVE provided arms/tear gas etc also with a clause stating that it would be illigal or them to be used against their own people which is why US complained when they were.

When the Egyptian people do eventually get their democracy the first thing they will do is shout loud about what Isreal is doing to the Palastinian People and their Land and the illegal occupation of the land.

Now will US still stand by the Rothchild owned Isreal then? Very different matter eh!

The name Rothchild first appeared in the 18th Century when Myer Amschel Bauer established his Banking Empire in Frankfurt and changed the family name to Rothchild.
The Bauers were a notorious Satanic family in Middle Ages Germany and the Major Rothchilds remain master black magicians to this day.
Mayer Amschels father Moses was a money lender and proprietor of a counting house.
The name Rothcschild derives from the German 'rotes-child' or 'red shield'/'red sign' refering to the hexagram which hung over the Bauer home as their logo-better known as the star of david. (funny Isreal didn't come about until 1947/48) I think it's time to join the dots.

Where is your link to show how much money America is giving the Egyptian Gov ? Prrof needed please.

Although I know they are as well, your interpretation of what its used for is mis-aligned...

did u think about that statement before you typed it ???

since tear gas is only effective for crowd control
and that is it's purpose, then who the heck did
the US think that Egypt was gonna use it on????
Aliens getting off flying saucers in Harir Square ???

Did the US think about it before they supplied them? I think is more to the point!

America didn't supply them. Really ? Egypt bought supplies. If they couldn't buy them from America, they would have purchased them somewhere else.

Many nations create and sell weapons and items of control. So please, stop, that is asinine to say the least...

Prove it ,.... Show me a credible link that tells of America fully supporting and giving tear gas to the Egyptian gov for crowd control for the exact purpose of this situation.

I don't care what country you live in. I can guarantee your local government has a crowd control arsenal on hand for whatever may arise. It surprises me, that this is even used as a form of spite ....

about anonymous.

I was in complete agreement with the message
til he mentioned the United Nations.

If anon is associated with the United Nations,
then I want no part of them. United Nations
mean NWO and I will not be an accessory.

AND as a side note: If Anon is associated
with the United Nations then they are
associated with George Soros. They are
all on the same side.

While I agree that Egyptians should have their
freedom from tyranny, I must say that ousting
one dictator and gaining another even more evil is
not making progress at all.

Nothing is at it appears to be.
CIA Motto

Boon man, I think the paranoia is starting getting to your head, you are seeing connections where there is none.
Anon simply referenced a Human Right set out by the U.N, your logic is taking leaps and bounds to assume that anon is connected to the U.N now for making a reference................

Also a few replys late you state:

"anon comes on the scene and attacks the
banks that stopped processing donations
to wikileaks. so anon was helping wikileaks.
and now anon is attacking opponents of regime
change in Egypt."

From Anon's perspective wikileaks is standing for the freedom of information which would be similar to their own perspective I'd assume. So if banks stop donations to wikileaks Anon would surely deem this an attack on Freedom of Information??? Also If Soros is directly connected to Wikileaks then why would they banks stop donations in the 1st place??? Surely someone of his power could silently pull a few strings to stop this from happening???

Also How is Anon "attacking opponents of regime change in Egypt" with this video??? You have lost me!

I think the anger towards the US in this case is misdirected. The Egyptian military, in which the protesters themselves revere, use the same USA weapons that the police were using to subdue the crowds. Thats one of the last exports the US makes really weapons. Somebody is gonna buy them doesnt mean you support a regime you support a profit. USA isn't the only supplier to Egypt. Russia sells weapons to them too. You think we are the only ones lending Aid to them?

In this case Im glad we are staying out of it. We are in enough wars. We need to get out of the ones we are in now. Nowadays anytime we get involved to "help" we are to blame even when we are not involved we are to blame. Many times rightfully so. This is a personal battle amongst countrymen and needs to be resolved as such. Doesnt matter who wins to us because we will still be willing to do business with whomever comes out on top.
US isnt the only country with intrest in Egypt or the only one doing business with a dictator, or the only one supplying weapons.

I do. Are you able to offer an intelligent rebuttal or is your M.O. simply to call one names? If you are what passes for a "patriotic American" today, my assumption will be you are a passively genocidal bully who prefers Muslims dead, homosexuals castrated and Mexicans rounded up. My guess is you'd claim I don't "support the troops" because I think the wars illegal and you use such as justification to label those like me in Orwellian doublespeak "Enemies of America." You would likely support Toby Keith in a run for Congress. I stand with real patriots, those willing to use their birthright freedoms to protest against government abuse, against wars for profit.

The fact of the matter is the US government and the UN claim they are there to protect people in situations such as the Egyptian people are in.

Instead they make money off the situation and turn a blind eye.

What the Egyptian "Leader" is doing is real terrorism and dictatorship.

I thought we were supposed to be fighting terror? Not aiding it.

Military hardware is a private industry, and private corporations are responsible for the contracts they engage in. A company makes tear gas, and sells it to buyers who are not under any international sanctions. That is how it works. The United States government did not send the Egyptians a bunch of tear gas after the riots started with a memo saying "Spray those bastards down". Give me a break. The United States government has expressed as much support as it possibly can for the revolutionaries without completely alienating the Saudi's.

It is entirely unnecessary to threaten the US government over THIS of all things. Out of all of the foreign policies of the United States that this group could point at as morally questionable, this seems like an opportunistic publicity stunt.

How about they demand the United States stop all of the bribes and extortion being conducted to subjugate most Central and South American countries? That money goes straight into the pocket of oppressive dictators, at a far greater cost to the citizens under their control.

I generally understand the true oppressive nature of American foreign policy, but this tear gas canister things is just making me roll my eyes.

If you sell weapons to someone knowing they most likely will use it for tools of oppression, submission, and abuse of power, you are as responsible as they are for their actions. If I sell a gun to a guy who says he needs it to rob and murder people (or if I just know what he is going to do), I'm just as guilty as he is. I couldn't say I did it for profit and get away with it. I'd be held accountable as an accessory.

We can tell ourselves it's just for profit that our country needs and not in support of certain people as much as we want, but it's not true. I love my country, but our government does some terrible and blatantly stupid things. All powerful countries do.

Anon is just expressing what many people who are aware of the situation are thinking.

Edit: In this case the imagery is as important as the actions. The egyptian people are being suppressed by people using U.S. products. No matter the initial reason for it being sold to Egypt, they will now associate us with the government they want thrown out.

It seems to me that a lot of people still don't understand what Anonymous is. It's not some select, small group of people. It's thousands of random people worldwide and never the same exact people. Anon is all of us. They're the people. The government may arrest a few of them now and then. All that will accomplish is pissing others off even more.

Sure, they'll blame the US. And I agree with you on the "terrible, stupid things" point. All I am saying is companies will sell their products to countries so long as it's legal to do so. How do you think military sanctions against Egypt would be perceived by Egyptians? They would still blame us. No sanctions? Well, then it's legal for companies to sell tear gas to them.

On another note, they should be glad someone sold them less than lethal alternatives to crowd control. Without that US made tear gas, they might have Russian made tank shells to show off

Why is this suprising to you or anyone else? UN has always been useless. Did we go into the Congo and save them? How bout Sudan? Rwanda? We apply that logic where we have specific interests. We didnt set up those regime's and we didn't Mubarak's regime we did however setup Sudaam's regime and took action under the guise of humanitarian aide. This isnt a blind eye at all these are fully informed decisions.

All the worlds issues are results of wars and power struggles WWII was result of WWI. WWIII will most likely comes as a result of WWII and so on. Israel is one of those results, the UN is one of those results. We know how well thats working. Its all a big chain of war and proxy wars. You can pop off how the US is so big and bad all you want but in reality it was your countries that caused the issues of today. Had you not beat the hell out of each other for so many years and embraced peace you wouldnt have an issue with US. It was your counrties ambitions and empire building that caused this. Hell the US wouldnt even exist as it does today had the British not treated her so horribly

Stop blaming your issues on other countries people like fighting period, we are greedy and all want more. Who is innocent?

Silly script kiddies...

you should really leave the community. we'd be better off without you.

Really...why?

What has Anon done besides DDoS attacks on public websites???

OH...besides terrorizing people and flooding youtube with videos of porn that had "family friendly" titles???

No Cussing Club

No Cussing ClubIn January 2009 members of Anonymous targeted California teen McKay Hatch who runs the No Cussing Club, a website against profanity.[58][59] As Hatch's home address, phone number, and other personal information were leaked on-line, his family has received a lot of hate mail, lots of obscene phone calls, and even bogus pizza and pornography deliveries.[60]

YouTube Porn Day

YouTube porn dayOn May 20, 2009, members of Anonymous uploaded numerous pornographic videos onto YouTube.[61] Many of these videos were disguised as children's videos or family friendly videos with tags such as "Jonas brothers."[61] YouTube has since removed all videos uploaded. The BBC contacted one of the uploaders who stated that it was a "4chan raid" organized due to the removal of music videos from YouTube.[62] BBC News reported that one victim posted a comment saying: "I'm 12 years old and what is this?"[62] which went on to become an internet meme.

Yeah...this is a GREAT group for ATS to support....so great that someone who opposes their childish (and pointless) acts should leave the community...right?

Just tell me ONE thing that you think Anon has done that is worthy of support?
