I have been reading article after article about the "horrible police" here on ATS. I agree that these things are indeed horrible, but I think we are buying into a worse agenda: the creation of a National Security Force... federal police.

Obama stated:

"We cannot continue to rely on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded."

As bad as local police abuses seem, federal police would be worse. Local police are beholding to the community. Federal police are beholding to Washington. You would have to have your head under a rock to realize Washington is beholding to the big corporations and banksters.

Infowars article with videos.

I see a concerted effort to build a growing perceived need for this "civilian national security force." DON'T buy into it!!!!

Cry out against the abuses but don't fall for their ploy to implement federal control of law enforcement!

Local police = local control = good.
Federal policie = federal control = bad.

This is just another step toward a civil war.

See how long it takes for Regular Joe to push back on it. Once RJ is pulled over by the Federali's and taken to a fed holding tank until he can be processed, interrogated, brought to a magistrate, convicted, and starts immediately serving time, others will understand exactly what a police state is. You think its bad now? Wait a little longer.

to keep abreast of these issues we must remember to keep our critical thinking caps on and deny ignorance.
let us look at the speech in its entirety and not draw conclusions from a 20 second youtube clip.

What is the truth behind Obama's statements that he wants to create a "civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded [as the military]"? A: This false claim is a badly distorted version of Obama's call for doubling the Peace Corps, creating volunteer networks and increasing the size of the Foreign Service. This question stems from an interview that Republican Rep. Broun of Georgia gave to The Associated Press Nov. 10. The story carried a headline, "Georgia congressman warns of Obama dictatorship." It said that Broun "fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist or fascist dictatorship." And it quoted him this way: Rep. Paul Broun, Nov. 10: It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's [Obama's] the one who proposed this national security force. ... That's exactly what Hitler did in Nazi Germany and it's exactly what the Soviet Union did.

Obama, July 2, Colorado Springs, CO: [As] president I will expand AmeriCorps to 250,000 slots [from 75,000] and make that increased service a vehicle to meet national goals, like providing health care and education, saving our planet and restoring our standing in the world, so that citizens see their effort connected to a common purpose. People of all ages, stations and skills will be asked to serve. Because when it comes to the challenges we face, the American people are not the problem – they are the answer. So we are going to send more college graduates to teach and mentor our young people. We'll call on Americans to join an energy corps, to conduct renewable energy and environmental clean-up projects in their neighborhoods all across the country. We will enlist our veterans to find jobs and support for other vets, and to be there for our military families. And we're going to grow our Foreign Service, open consulates that have been shuttered and double the size of the Peace Corps by 2011 to renew our diplomacy. We cannot continue to rely only on our military in order to achieve the national security objectives that we've set. We've got to have a civilian national security force that's just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded. We need to use technology to connect people to service. We'll expand USA Freedom Corps to create online networks where American can browse opportunities to volunteer. You'll be able to search by category, time commitment and skill sets. You'll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities. This will empower more Americans to craft their own service agenda and make their own change from the bottom up.

i also want to share another perspective from another source...

Barack Obama's recent words to promote his image as Community Organizer in Chief were not about forming a paramilitary force of volunteer brown shirts. They were about turning America into one, giant, community organizer's sandbox at enormous cost to taxpayers.

i am by no means endorsing any of obamas' ideas, i am just trying to offer a critical view to all the hype. this is much more of a bludgeoning expensive conspiracy against the taxpayer than the gestapo police story hype.

The range of his community service initiatives was outlined in an earlier American Thinker article. In his campaign document entitled "The Blueprint for Change: Barack Obama's Plan For America," Obama's "Service" section runs a close second to "Education" in complexity. But, with his Colorado Springs' statement, it grabbed first place in its projected costs to taxpayers. Obama did the cost projection himself. He plans to double the Peace Corps' budget by 2011, and expand AmeriCorps, USA Freedom Corps, VISTA, YouthBuild Program, and the Senior Corps. Plus, he proposes to form a Classroom Corps, Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, Veterans Corps, Homeland Security Corps, Global Energy Corps, and a Green Jobs Corps. Here a corps - there a corps - everywhere a corps corps. So it made sense in Colorado Springs when he said his call to community service "will be a central cause of my presidency." He couldn't be clearer in signaling his intentions, including a Social Investment Fund Network to link local non-profits with the federal government. The entire plan is breathtaking in its scope. But it does not, as at least one internet writer has suggested, portend a "giant police force." It would be easier to rebut if it did. As it is, it's silly stuff born of naively fanciful dreams.

In a dream I saw the "new colors" of some kind of "uniform" that only consists of a patch and cap. The colors were dark brown, light blue, and just a slice of light colored olive. There was no "uniform"...just a cap and a cloth badge for identification of this group. I wonder if it means anything?

lets look at the numbers as they are presented in the referenced article from 'american thinker'

Voters haven't paid much attention to his "Service" plan because the old news media has ignored it. That will likely continue, even though Obama attached an approximate price tag to it in Colorado Springs. When Obama said that the "civilian national security force" would be just as "well-funded" as the Armed Forces, he stepped squarely into the giant sandbox and played with the big numbers. As the late Carl Sagan said, "billions and billions" of dollars. Here's how. The FY 2008 Department of Defense (DoD) budget is about $482 billion. Obama has announced his intentions to cut "tens of billions of dollars in wasteful spending," including $9 billion per month spent in Iraq and expenditures for the missile defense system, while increasing the force size of the Army and Marine Corps. Let's imagine "tens of billions" in cuts eventually adds up to a whopping $150 billion. That would be a near one-third cut in defense spending, taking the DoD budget down to $332 billion. Even in such an extreme case of DoD budget reduction, for his "civilian national security force" to be "just as well-funded" would mean funding his community service initiatives at an equivalent $332 billion. Consequently, another $332 billion in addition to the Pentagon's reduced budget of $332 billion equals a net increase of $182 billion in the annual federal budget, assuming we sponge-up the already existing expenditures for the relatively meager, by comparison, existing service programs he plans to expand. That's $182,000,000,000 in new federal monies, and that means higher taxes. In his entire life, Senator Obama has never managed an organization larger than a Senate staff, or that of a law school publication. And, he's never operated a for-profit business or been responsible for any profit center within one. So, while words matter to Senator Obama, it's not clear if math means anything to him at all.

I am not sure if this is tied into op .... In the wake of the Flight 253 provocation, over-hyped terrorism panics, and last year's Big Pharma and media-engineered hysteria over the H1N1 flu pandemic, President Barack Obama signed Executive Order 13528 on January 11.

Among other things, the Executive Order (EO) established a Council of Governors, an "advisory panel" chosen by the President that will rubber-stamp long-sought-after Pentagon contingency plans to seize control of state National Guard forces in the event of a "national emergency."

According to the White House press release, the ten member, bipartisan Council was created "to strengthen further the partnership between the Federal Government and State Governments to protect our Nation against all types of hazards."

snip/ In other words, right from the get-go, the Council will serve as civilian cover for political decisions made by the Executive Branch and the security apparat. EO 13528 continues, "Such views, information, or advice shall concern: (a) matters involving the National Guard of the various States; (b) homeland defense; (c) civil support; (d) synchronization and integration of State and Federal military activities in the United States; and (e) other matters of mutual interest pertaining to National Guard, homeland defense, and civil support activities." source www.globalresearch.ca...

I am constantly amazed at the amount of energy wasted trying to make Obama out to be The Boogeyman. I had to go four pages deep on Google to find the entire video and a cogent description of the video for the truth-challenged loons of this country.
I’m surprised how many people really believe Obama would state, in a public speech, that he wanted to start a national paramilitary force. Many seem to not have bothered to read the speech, or watch the video of the speech , but instead have just seized on one quote from the speech. If you did read the speech or watch the video, and took the time to understand it, you’d realize he’s not advocating some new paramilitary force–he’s saying that he wants to increase funding for many public service organizations that already exist, and create a few new ones. He wants to implement, on a national scale, some of the grassroots organizing methods he learned in Chicago. That alone may scare some people, but that’s a different issue, but at least grassroots organizing is not paramilitary, at least not what he’s proposing. For him to propose that he has better answers than some current methods of organizing, public service, etc. throughout the US, and would like to see his ideas implemented on a national scale, IS a big deal, and not something people should automatically swallow, but not something that should be rejected outright and falsely labeled.

and create a few new ones.

you just said it yourself, and if you read the speech, he did say a national security force as well funded.
stop trying to twist it around, when you admit your self he wants some new police force under the control of big brother.

i'm not trying to twist it around, i just don't take the OP at face value, i believe it is a BIG deal, more along the lines of compulsory civil service albeit a nationalized psy-op brainwashing program. some of the beginnings we are seeing now like the see something say something in walmart program and the recent NFL superbowl security paradigm. it is creating a culture of paranoia. i know i suffer from this paranoia paradigm to an extent also.

The real problem is not Obama it is the globalists behind Obama so it makes no difference if he or the next globalist puppet is in office. That part of the speach was a quote from Stephene Flynn CFR fellow on National Security who was his advisee during the election and after.

In January 2010, Dr. Stephen Flynn became the sixth President of the Center for National Policy (www.cnponline.org), founded in 1981. Prior to being selected to lead the Center, he spent a decade as a senior fellow for National Security Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations. Following the election of President Barack Obama, he served as the lead policy advisor on homeland security for the presidential transition team. He currently serves as a member of the bipartisan National Security Preparedness Group, co-chaired by former 9/11 commissioners, Governor Tom Kean and Congressman Lee Hamilton.

Ever wonder how Obama came out of nowhere and became president? He had lots of CFR/Trilateral/Bilderberg friends who put him there, and he then appointed almost all of his posts with these bandits. Not that this is any different from any President for the last 50 years. You must remember that these guys number in the thousands but are appointed to almost EVERY post.

The agenda remains the same and there will be an increasing push for this federal police force. The globalists have repeatedly stated that nationalism is an anathema to their progress.

They will not stop with federal police. They will then push towards world police. This is their PUBLISHED goal. It is throughout the CFR/Trilateral et all publications. here are a few quotes from the globalists themselves:

the nation-state is becoming less and less competent to perform its international political tasks...These are some of the reasons pressing us to lead vigorously toward the true building of a new world order...Sooner perhaps than we may realize...there will evolve the bases for a federal structure of the free world.

1962 , Nelson Rockerfeller, "The Future of Federalism"

"...the new world rises upon our vision....We have vindicated the right of social control....There must be developed a national spirit of service....The natural resources of the nation must be socialized...The state must socialize every group...Men must learn to have world patriotism. World patriotism must be a faith....There is no more justice for the claim of absolute sovereignty on the part of a nation than on the part of an individual....The only alternative is World Federation...with a world parliament, an international court, and an international policy force...Men must have an international mind before there can be a world federation. They must see and affirm that above the nation is humanity. Internationalism must first be a religion before it can be a reality and a system."

1919 "The New World Order" by Samuel Zane Batten.

Speaking at the Sept. 23, 1994 United Nations Ambassadors' dinner, David Rockefeller remarked,

"This present window of opportunity, during which a truly peaceful and interdependent world order might be built, will not be open for too long." "We are on the verge of a global transformation. All we need is the right major crisis and the nations will accept the New World Order."

I can't find the video, but it is either Rockefeller Zbigniew Brzezinski or such ilk that said the current financial crisis is speeding up their globalization.

ETA... Absolutely the2ofusr1. Baby steps....

hmm, take a look at the full video when you have the time..

Brave New World: "A really efficient totalitarian state would be one in which the all-powerful executive of political bosses and their army of managers control a population of slaves who do not have to be coerced because they love their servitude. To make them love it is the task assigned... to ministries of propaganda, newspaper editors and schoolteachers."[4] Aldous Huxley

here is more info relating towards the idea of a social change program..

The transforming power of "SERVICE LEARNING" "Service learning" isn't a new phenomenon. It has been well tested by U.S. educators for more than a decade. What's new is the scale of Obama's plan. His massive system would press students and citizens of all ages in a revolutionary government-led program to change the way we think and relate to each other. A more descriptive term would be mass brainwashing! He outlines it on his official website: "Expand Service-Learning in Our Nation's Schools: Obama will set a goal that all middle and high school students do 50 hours of community service a year. He will develop national guidelines for service-learning and will give schools better tools both to develop programs and to document student experience."[7] National guidelines? Documenting each server? Such traditional words now have new meanings [8] and requirements unknown to the public. Service learning implies socialist indoctrination through facilitated group dialogue designed to break down barriers, manipulate minds, and build unity in diversity. All members will be monitored and tracked by massive computer networks. And all the personal attitudes, beliefs, values, adaptability, and especially resistance to the planned change -- i.e. all the countless factors that now define a person's "mental health"[9] -- will be recorded within these systems. Does that remind you of China's dang'an -- the growing personal data file that follows each Chinese citizen through life? It should, because America is following the well-tested footprints of Communist dictators in both China and Russia. As I pointed out in my last article on the Olympics, China is using (and testing) sophisticated American technology to advance its universal and transformational surveillance system. This fact sheds some sobering light on Obama's promise that, "...we'll use technology to connect people to service.... You'll be able to search by category, time commitment, and skill sets; you'll be able to rate service opportunities, build service networks, and create your own service pages to track your hours and activities. This will empower more Americans to craft their own service agenda, and make their own change from the bottom up."[10]

Read my previous post.

Obama = puppet.
CFR/Trilateral et all globalists = in control.
Globalist agenda = destroying nationalism and instituting world control.

Here is another Rockerfeller (CFR founder) quote:

David Rockerfellers 2002 "Memoirs" ISBN 0-679-40588-7 Chapter 27 "Proud Internationalist" Page 405:
"Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States characterizing my family and me as "internationalists" and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure -- one world if you will. If thats the charge I stand guilty and I am proud of it."

yes i realize that he is the latest mouth piece for the worlders here in the u.s. the latest in a long line of em.
so he should have to bear the first brunt of the outrage. then we should move on,and find someone who would stand up for our people here in our country first, then the other people in the world if they want our help, to expose the the corruption.

but you know just about everybody that goes to washington, get caught up n the corruption. weather its for themselves or the worlders.

the post i replied to sounded like you were defending him. as i have read your other posts it sounds to me if you are saying he is trying to groom the citizens, if this is the case yes i agree with you on this point.
question. do you think this is his dream alone, or do you think he is working for the worlders?
when i say worlders, i mean any of the alphabet soup labeled organisations that want to rule over us.
such as nwo, tlc, cfr, bilbderbregs, illuminati, un, did i leave any one out.
