1. Experience the Absolute and abide by that selflessly No one can prove or "experience" absolute morality. We can prove and experience
absolutes though (absolute facts such as the earth being an oblate spheroid or that humans die if they leave earth's atmostphere). I think what you
mean here is they cannot obey objective moral commandmants or mindlessly respect authority? A non-religious person can still believe (or
"experience") absolute/objective morality anyway. - They just don't pretend it's handed down from "on-high
i never said anything about morality ......however I do believe there is in all of US a moral organ called conscience ...and by meditation, and
connecting to that ....everyone would definitely experience Moral Absolutes ......it would be a world filled with buddhas, christs, saints, and
mystics ....conscience is prior to the mind and its thoughts/decisions. ...but thats neither here nor there...
What I was saying is that a person can Experience directly Absolute-God ....which has nothing really at all to do with oblate spheriods or death in
2. Transcendentally Love everyone equally regardless of creed, culture, gender, etc. An atheist can do this, doesn't require dogmatic or pios
belief, nor does it require belief in a creator.
sorry man ...but Im friends with a few atheists here in chicago .....and we have extremely awesome debates and discussions on these exact topics
...one of them actually just recently stopped being an atheist as a result of having a glimpse of this Absolute...... well of my atheist friends that
I ask of ....if they have this profound transcendent and nonjudgmental Love for all people regardless of who they are or what they have said or done
to you .......its always been a resounding 'No'.....
Its not a love that you can yourself create, practice, establish, and come to know ....it is something that comes directly from seeking out the direct
experiences fo God, from prayer, from meditation .......
do you have this yourself?
3. The act of completely surrendering the ego in the void of the Absolute into a permanent basis and living selflessly Not sure if this is a
"moral" act but an Atheist can do this too. Ego has nothing to do with Atheism, Atheism's ideology consists of one lack of belief; a lack of belief
in a deity.
sorry man ...I beg to differ in that ....had any atheist surrendered ego and touched the Void that is the Absolute ...it would be impossible
afterwards to say there is No God.....
I can agree only in as much that a belief in anything ...really means nothing .....but experience something to such a profound degree that it shatters
all beliefs, mental imaging, emotions, and all known previous frameworks, leaving one like a naked child in complete awe ...... .... well there is
definitely after that no need for belief nor is there any more doubt to that reality.
I say ......if you don't believe in God .....then take it to the next step and dont believe any thoughts or ideas. Because thats what a belief in God
is right ....'God' is just a mental image, a thought ...and so all mind stuff and all thought is just mental unreal images...... lets get rid of all
4. I can keep going for pages at a time ......but I think the point is made. No please, do keep going - I will respond to your points. Religion
does not have a monopoly over morality.
actually there is no need to keep going ....the responses above should keep you within critical thinking ...and I most certainly look forward to the
I'll tell you what has a monopoly on Morality and is definitely the Absolute/God/Infinity ...etc. Why ....... because to get this Absolute state
...strips One complete of Ego and leaves only Love ......it is operating completely and selflessly out of this Absolute Love ...that is the Absolute
.......everything else is the egoic and mind-stuff self justified excuse to get completely away from the Above....
Of course if you haven't been 'there" or glimpsed that Absolute reality ...well then everything I say is "Woo."
Thankfully ...there are others out there who have seen this Absolute Reality ...they know its there ....and that we come from there.....and return
After Once being an atheist, then agnostic, then having been FLOORED by glimpsing the absolute ....it is now Absolutely impossible to ever deny the
existence of That ....... everything else is mere childs play and mind-created illusion in comparison to that....
Had you seen it yourself .....you yourself would know that there is definitely such a thing as Absolute Morality..... now how to get there and live
that directly ......well I myself am still working on that..... surrendering the ego has alot to do with it ...because the ego/mind.thinking is in the
way of That ...mind cant grasp the reality of the ungraspable ......but One ...in a sense can sink down into it by letting Go
