The answers will be given if you have unconditional love and genuine concern for others, in meditation, prayer, sungazing and skywatching.

What makes you think i don't do these things?

Atheists are capable of these profound human acts you talk about. Atheism consists of one simple lack of belief.

I don't prayer because i don't believe in speaking to invisible or non-existant entities, or at least entities that are unwilling to respond. God doesn't intervene. See "The Problem of Evil" or "Epicurean Paradox"

There isn't one single moral act that a person of faith can do that someone without faith can't (non-religious or atheist)

Inifitity/Eternity does not imply a creator. Creator causation is an assumption. Infinity is an assumption (as it is without evidence) but infinity is based on a mathematical logic.

Simply pointing to mathematical and physical beauty in the universe and labelling it "GOD" is simply calling nature itself "GOD" - This is the pantheism stance, and is simply a labelling act.

The more we understand about the universe and/or reality the Pantheist just expands his scope of "GOD" to encompass the newly found information. Therefore God is not absolute and is ever changing with human knowledge.

Religious dogma is illogical and irrational - I say this now as i have always said. Call it "disrespect" - but i certainly don't think it deserves respect, and is certainly not free from criticism.

Definetly agree.

There's a "Ba'al" in Judaism. Which pretty much means "Master"

Pretty sinister concept - What's more worrying is Ba'al is the game Diablo. (The end boss) xD Loved that game!

I just think it's sinister in general

If you read the New Testament, and there may be 13 Gospels not 4,from the point of view of Non Dualism,
then clearly Jesus appears to have been a Guru in the Eastern Hindu Tradition of Non-Dualism.
Jesus: "I and the Father are one. Those who cling to
life shall lose their life, those who lose their life in
me shall have eternal life. Lest you be like a child
you cannot enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand, etc."

The difference is that Jesus taught the sacrifice of the heart, whereas Krishna taught the sacrifice of the body and Buddha taught the sacrifice of the mind.
It is a great misconception that Jesus taught just
by example or words. John the Baptist said,"I baptize with water but the one who is too come will baptize with fire and spirit." This Fire is Shaktipat, which is spiritual energy that is transmitted from the Guru to the Disciple. I have personally experienced this, and have known people who actually saw the "fire" coming out of the Gurus eyes.
The last great teacher,Adi Da, taught the Sacrifice of the Ego itself. A true spiritual teaching is based on intuitive insight and never on mindless, hypnotic beliefs. Christianity is a pagan perversion of Jesus teachings. Islam has no spiritual teaching of self transcendence.

I think the OP makes a mistake in associating Jesus the person and His Teaching with the sins and ignorance of those who Claim to be his followers.

I couldn't be one, due to my experiences, and aslo, my thread on the Holographic Universe in my signature is based on a discussion with my son on what kind of logic and deep thinking based on connecting dots leads to.

In addition here is some deep thinking of a friend who had a bit time grasping it, then suddenly got the abstract all at once. For if you are, you are infinite consciousness in an infinite system for that is what there is and discovered, and there can be nothing finite in infinity. All that is, was and will be at the same time. You are being born and your are taking your first step, also you are passing out of this system.

We are the past to our Future Infinite Selves.

And i have no concerns with that type of deep thinking. I just value skepticism and intelligent "caution" before evidence urges the assertion a belief. ("The earth is round" "The EARTH revolves around the Sun") - Science and the pursuit of truth can remove private prejudice and faulty beliefs.

As you say religion sucks, so does Hitchens, a so called progressive who supported the Iraq war.

The Ba'athist coup of 8 February 1963 was accompanied by street fighting as Communist activists and supporters resisted the coup attempt. Fighting in Baghdad continued for three days, concentrated in the party's strongholds in the poorer, mainly Shia, districts. When the Baath consolidated its power the ICP suffered an unprecedented campaign of mass physical liquidation. Leading figures and cadres of the Party were tortured to death, including Husain al-Radi. The total number of communists killed is unknown, but was certainly in the thousands.
........ In 1978 Saddam Hussein unleashed a renewed campaign of repression against the party, including the execution of large numbers of party members. In 1979 the party officially broke with the regime.

You have to bear in mind that in common with myself, Hitchens is a Neomarxist and that his support for the invasion of Iraq had nothing to do with his support for US imperialism; he simply believes, as I do, that Islamic Fascism is a major threat to humankind and that Saddam Hussein was a genocidal dictator who needed to be removed. Hitchens also has a long history of openly expressing animosty towards Geroge Bush and the US political right.

The Iraq war was about the economic control of Iraq's oil and economy, just as the Afghan war was about the control of the world's heroin black market, which the Anglo-American state terrorists depend on for their black budgets; however as Machiavelli argued, one should always take sides in war and never remain neutral; yes US imperialism is a bad thing, but if it is a fight between the US imperalists and the Muslims, I would have to side with the Americans.

You mistake that the belief of religion and belief are separates. Any belief not founded on all of the facts has the same genocidal tendencies.
Religion, sports, Darwinism, elitism and the list goes on.

It is not man's power of observation that is his great weakness,
but his incapacity for competent conclusion.

1. Experience the Absolute and abide by that selflessly No one can prove or "experience" absolute morality. We can prove and experience absolutes though (absolute facts such as the earth being an oblate spheroid or that humans die if they leave earth's atmostphere). I think what you mean here is they cannot obey objective moral commandmants or mindlessly respect authority? A non-religious person can still believe (or "experience") absolute/objective morality anyway. - They just don't pretend it's handed down from "on-high

i never said anything about morality ......however I do believe there is in all of US a moral organ called conscience ...and by meditation, and connecting to that ....everyone would definitely experience Moral Absolutes ......it would be a world filled with buddhas, christs, saints, and mystics ....conscience is prior to the mind and its thoughts/decisions. ...but thats neither here nor there...

What I was saying is that a person can Experience directly Absolute-God ....which has nothing really at all to do with oblate spheriods or death in the atmosphere.

2. Transcendentally Love everyone equally regardless of creed, culture, gender, etc. An atheist can do this, doesn't require dogmatic or pios belief, nor does it require belief in a creator.

sorry man ...but Im friends with a few atheists here in chicago .....and we have extremely awesome debates and discussions on these exact topics ...one of them actually just recently stopped being an atheist as a result of having a glimpse of this Absolute...... well of my atheist friends that I ask of ....if they have this profound transcendent and nonjudgmental Love for all people regardless of who they are or what they have said or done to you .......its always been a resounding 'No'.....

Its not a love that you can yourself create, practice, establish, and come to know ....it is something that comes directly from seeking out the direct experiences fo God, from prayer, from meditation .......

do you have this yourself?

3. The act of completely surrendering the ego in the void of the Absolute into a permanent basis and living selflessly Not sure if this is a "moral" act but an Atheist can do this too. Ego has nothing to do with Atheism, Atheism's ideology consists of one lack of belief; a lack of belief in a deity.

sorry man ...I beg to differ in that ....had any atheist surrendered ego and touched the Void that is the Absolute ...it would be impossible afterwards to say there is No God.....

I can agree only in as much that a belief in anything ...really means nothing .....but experience something to such a profound degree that it shatters all beliefs, mental imaging, emotions, and all known previous frameworks, leaving one like a naked child in complete awe ...... .... well there is definitely after that no need for belief nor is there any more doubt to that reality.

I say ......if you don't believe in God .....then take it to the next step and dont believe any thoughts or ideas. Because thats what a belief in God is right ....'God' is just a mental image, a thought ...and so all mind stuff and all thought is just mental unreal images...... lets get rid of all beliefs completely......

4. I can keep going for pages at a time ......but I think the point is made. No please, do keep going - I will respond to your points. Religion does not have a monopoly over morality.

actually there is no need to keep going ....the responses above should keep you within critical thinking ...and I most certainly look forward to the reply.

I'll tell you what has a monopoly on Morality and is definitely the Absolute/God/Infinity ...etc. Why ....... because to get this Absolute state ...strips One complete of Ego and leaves only Love ......it is operating completely and selflessly out of this Absolute Love ...that is the Absolute Morality.....

.......everything else is the egoic and mind-stuff self justified excuse to get completely away from the Above....

Of course if you haven't been 'there" or glimpsed that Absolute reality ...well then everything I say is "Woo."

Thankfully ...there are others out there who have seen this Absolute Reality ...they know its there ....and that we come from there.....and return there.

After Once being an atheist, then agnostic, then having been FLOORED by glimpsing the absolute ....it is now Absolutely impossible to ever deny the existence of That ....... everything else is mere childs play and mind-created illusion in comparison to that....

Had you seen it yourself .....you yourself would know that there is definitely such a thing as Absolute Morality..... now how to get there and live that directly ......well I myself am still working on that..... surrendering the ego has alot to do with it ...because the ego/mind.thinking is in the way of That ...mind cant grasp the reality of the ungraspable ......but One ...in a sense can sink down into it by letting Go

The bloodlines have created belief systems in order to control the world - when 'religions' began to lose their hold, due to the 'Enlightenment', the Reformation, printing presses etc - they simply switched to egalitarianism, Communism, Socialism, Progressivism, Liberalism, Eco-activism, PC Multiculturalism.

- all of whom of course will act as though they are in possession of the pure and unadulterated truth and can thus dispense with any sort of moral compass to achieve the goals the elites have steered them towards. They are of course equally as blind as the religionists, to the trap they have fallen victim too - but then that is the price you pay for getting to feel 'special' 'enlightened' ' superior' etc.

And as for Islam statistical analysis confirms it is in fact much more violent, and intolerant than Christianity
Although jesus probably never existed.- the New Testament is actually not too bad an attempt at creating a civilised belief system.- though of course Catholicism is not Christianity at all!

Though being decended form a people that were wiped out by smallpox blankets and un kept treaties signed with christians, I do disagree with statement that Islam is more eviolent than christianity.

both protestants and catholics did residential schools
that was a genocide committed on children and paid for by tax dollars
doesn't get any lower than that
period.

after the Luther created protestants (and who was funded by the bankers of the day)....the religious wars wiped out huge swaths of europeans who had their properties and wealth magically wind up in the hand of the people who run the religions...

ha ha like wrestling
I am amazed people are still taken in by it

The US and Israeli military have a long history of false flag operations and the events of New York 911 and London 7/7 are entirely suspicious, and I am quite convinced that they were black military operations by the US / Israeli military establishment. Since there is an entire subforum on ATS dedicated to this issue, I don't really wish to get into a debate over that here, however I don't think that the the US military are in any way "terrified" of Islam, on the contrary I believe that they are gearing up for a genocidal nuclear war against Islam.

The US military have numerous types of advanced technology which they have yet to openly display on the battlefield, particularly DEW (Direct Energy Weapons) non projectile technology which would make projectile weapons obsolete (there is also an ATS sub forum on this issue).

I consider the US / Israeli military to be practically invincible in war. According to Victor Ostrovsky the ex Mossad officer and author of [i["By Way of Deception: The Making and Unmaking of a Mossad Officer the US military intelligence services are entirely infiltrated by the Israeli secret service, and any secret military technology the Americans have developed, the Israelis probably have as well.

My "prediction" of the next stage of warfare is that the Israelis will probably stage some kind of major false flag attack on America; possible with a nuclear weapon; this will set the stage for America to retaliate against the Islamic world and probably most certainly against Iran. I should point out that this is not a "prophetical" prediction; it is just my analysis based on the past behaviour of the Israelis and their military strategy.

There is simply no way that the current economic and military establishment will simply stand by while Islamic Fascists like the Iranians work on nuclear technology and attempt to establish Islamic republics.

Yes, the major difference between Islamic societies and societies such as Europe and America is not that the central religion of the Americans and Europeans (i.e., Christianity) is any better than Islam, the difference is that there exists a long tradition of radical anti-Christian activism in the West, in the form of the anti-slavery movement (the Bible actually endorses the practice of slavery), the humanist movement, the feminist movement, the Marxists, Anarchists, Socialists, Trade Unionists, atheist philosophers etc., and the rather permissive and progressive sexual subculture, all of which have affected what Richard Dawkins refers to as the the "moral Zeitgeist" of Western Civilisation; that modern Westerners have vlaues which are more "humanist" and liberal, is "in spite" of Christianity, not because of it. Unfortunately such "Enlightenment" values have not reached the Islamic world to the same degree, apart from affecting perhaps the educated secular middle classes and those with Internet access. Probably the most regressive aspect of Islamic culture is the almost total non existence of the feminist movement; it is still a culture where women are generally bought and sold as lifelong sex slaves.

With regards to the genocide of your American Indian ancestors, that too can be entirely defended by the Biblical faith, which demands the genocide of the devotees of competing deities.

too funny for words.

Although I guess there is a point to be made where the Spanish are concerned, but y'know, it's funny how folk tend to blame the vehicle when it's the driver who's to blame, or to use another metaphor, guns don't kill people other people do.

I disagree with term fascist when aplied to muslims.
Mussolini was a fascist.
He was a christian.
He worked for the bankers, the christian's masters ( and THEY aren't Muslims)
fascism is not compatible with Islam for the most part...
It is integral to Christianity as it is practiced in regards to things like the Vatican bank
and the Vatican having the biggest stock and real estate portfolios in the world.
islam-o- facist is an oxy moron

The muslims are, when not installed by the western intelligence community, not on a banking system that can be construed as corporatist, and so can not be considered fascist.
unless they are run by the "west"
