I do think the Bell itself is just the device, something like an engine if you will... *if* it ever existed !

I think it's interesting that Farrell says that besides Die Glocke, another name for the bell was Der Bienenstock - the beehive, because of the sound it made.

While I totally agree with the sentiments behind what you say, if places like this are destroyed and forgotten the world will eventually forget, these help us remember forever. Also lets not forget this is where our trip to the moon started, with the technology developed here.

There is all this talk about Die Glocke being a anti-gravity device but it could be a uranium breeding machine to make uranium isotopes for a nuclear device. Check out my thread for more info about Die Glocke Here

I'm very interested in the Cash/Landrum case. Given the fact that The Bell really existed and had been worked on in the states maybe the technology was used in the Cash/ Ladrum case craft, who knows!

Dal i dont want to hijack your post but i cant write a thread yet but thought this is to good a story to PM you about. I have a few questions for you that you may be able to help me out with as they are really bugging me but ive drawn up blanks in my search on the internet.

A few years ago now i was stationed with the British army in Minden. The barracks we stayed in was called Elizabeth barracks to us but was obviously an older German barracks as it still had all the eagles and markings etc along with ammunition cellars and armoury's etc. Well my first question is could you help me find out a little more about the place as it must have some good history.
Secondly and more importantly up on the Weser ridge which slops down at Port west falica for the river, road and rail crossings there is some massive iron doors sealed in the cliff face on the opposite cliff side to the side with the Kaiser statue. Well me being me im so curious that i had to take a look. So after some major manipulation of my body i managed to get inside. I only had a very small light and it was total darkness but there was tunnels going off into the darkness and another with a large cavern space for like rockets or something and various equipment laying everywhere. I cannot find any real information about this place and i said one day i would return but i never did. Im really sure that it was a weapons factory underground but to be honest on my own in the dark with only a weak light it was very hard to tell and the place felt extremely uncomfortable and im not frightened very easy but it seriously un nerved me..

Any help or thoughts would be good and once again great post.

here are some pieces of information (there are barely reliable sources and it was really hard to gather at least some information):

As far as I’m concerned the “Elisabeth Kasernen” (Elizabeth barracks) were simply barracks used by the Nazi “Wehrmacht” (/army) and were home to the 16th Battalion of sappers (don’t know if it’s the right translation though ). The barracks were part of a big military complex (training and exercising fields).

As for your second question I found something interesting, I will try to write it down for you as understandable as possible:

During the Second World War underground factories, called “U-built relocations”, were built in(to) the Weser and Wiehengebirge (=mountains of Weser and Wiehen) near Minden. In these factories forced laborers from the concentration camp (KZ) Neuengamme had to produce weapons and other war-related goods. After the war the machines in these factories were dismantled by the Americans and they also sealed the entrances.

“U-shift relocations” (“underground shiftings”) denotes a German armament production plant shifted under the earth's surface during the Second World War.

After the weapon(s) factories in Peenemünde were damaged a lot during the British operation “Hydra” the national socialists’ government decided to transfer/ shift any war important factory to an underground location.
Especially in old mines or in newly created tunnels the companies found the space they needed for their operations. The great demand for laborer in the underground relocation was met by the use of forced laborers and concentration camp inmates of newly constructed concentration camps.

In particular, the production of synthetic gasoline in the so-called Geilenberg program was moved underground. The program was named after Edmund Geilenberg, the Commissioner General for immediate action at the Reich Ministry for Armaments and War Production (Reichsministerium für Rüstung- und Kriegsproduktion).
Under the direction of the so called “Jägerstab” the German fighter aircraft industry was decentralized and moved to underground development and production facilities.

The underground facility you discovered was mainly used by the Nazis to ensure the production of fighter planes. Originally used as mines the underground facilities near Porta Westfalica were enlarged to transfer production factories to underground locations.

Wow a lot more than i thought.Thanks for finding out that info for me. Now ive got the idea of what im actually looking for im going to dig deeper and see what else i can find. Ive had some talks with friends and looks like i might go back there in the spring next year.

Just wish in a way i went deeper into that facility with a camera, you never know what i might have found.

When i used your info i also found out some things about some places we found when we were in the harz mountains doing some mountain training that were well hidden in the forests.

Im really thinking hard though where they were but the problem is we didn't always know exactly where we was of you know what i mean.

And to think we only just scratched the surface here.

Aw I love the Harz mountains, it's really a wonderful place in every season of the year.

Some friends and me (strictly a men event, our women have to spend their time in the gym ) always head to the Harz mountains (especially the "Brocken") in early January and climb up the snowy paths in the forest up to the "Brocken", it always has the vibe of an adventure- just you and the nature (and some cans of beer ).
