Special Report: THE MOON LANDING
WASHINGTON, 16 August 2006: NASA no longer knows the whereabouts of the original tapes of man's first landing on the Moon nearly 40 years ago, an official of the U.S. space agency said on Tuesday.
"NASA is searching for the original tapes of the Apollo 11 spacewalk on July 21, 1969," said Ed Campion, a spokesman for NASA's Goddard Space Flight Centre in Greenbelt, Maryland, a Washington suburb.

I see this statement frequently used
"Why NASA goes through the hassle of photoshopping images when they take thousands, could just throw the ones unwanted away"
IMO this is not to be considered any longer since in fact they do have to photoshop when there something they dont want others to see.
NASA's films used are all documented and numbered so if photos are missing be sure that there will be staff noticing that and I dont presume that if a plot does exist all the staff at NASA are involved. So yes they do have to photoshop.
Still...the same argument to me shows how difficult might be for someone to hide things at NASA and that in reality its very organized. I mean they do amazing things , they always did
