Egypt's biggest mall that is attached to the intercontinental hotel is no where near tahrir square yet there are special forces around it, is this normal during times like this? Couldn't they get normal foot soldiers to do that boring job.

How could you determine that they were actual Egyptian Special Operations troops? I can't see the insignia in those photos very well.

if you somehow haven't noticed there is kind of a revolution going on in Egypt...that's why the troops are taken the policing duties over...
