What is the drive of your comment here? Are you suggesting that NASA have found where the boundaries of the universe are, what shape it is , and how much life resides therein? Exactly what do you mean here?

Some months ago it was said NASA was about to unravel information about a NEW FORCE of Nature www.abovetopsecret.com...

When the smoke cleared the results were not what we thought they could be, but it had given trigger enough to think they're really into something. Well they always are. Everyday bigger.

Not the Borders of the Universe yet, but they're determing its behaviour, its Nature. Last report: now we know the known part is a lot bigger than we thought www.sciencedaily.com...

But if we want to put some pressure on our three-dimensional euclidian beliefs, here's an key to what may be lying over the Borders: www.cosmosmagazine.com...

A couple of months ago they released what can be the most important find in years: LIFE based on toxical chemicals www.nasa.gov...

It was found on Mono Lake (California) and gives us reason to believe LIFE can form in ways we could not have imagined just a few years ago throughout the Universe. So they're really working the LIFE issue too. A lot.

Now, lets check this: jackadam.net...

This is our NOISE. A 200-ly ridiculous expansion in galaxy terms.
Sure there's life out there, but out there is AMAZINGLY big and we are ridiculously small.

I would think almost all NASA scientists believe in life outside of the Earth. The ones I've seen on the various TV science programs seem to believe that life extists out there somewhere (whether it be Europa, Enceladus, Titan's methane lakes, in the Martian soil, the clouds of Venus, or somewhere outside our solar system), and is only waiting to be found.

In fact, I would say the great majority scientists in general believe that the universe is too big for only Earth to have life, so it doesn't surprise me in the least that Charles Bolden also believes this.

What would have surprised me is if he said he believed the Earth was the only place in the universe -- or even in our galaxy -- with life. Now THAT would be a story.

I find it interesting how much you make of the fact that Bolden denies that he saw any alien craft whilst in space, and yet believes in alien life. You must realise that the two things are by no means mutualy exclusive! I personaly have never met an alien, but I am sure that there must be some out in the vastness of the cosmos. Is that some how strange to you ?
I think its perfectly reasonable to assume, that like many of us, he has never been a witness, but taking into account the size of space itself, and the amount of leaps of understanding in extremophile biology and better understanding of the geophysics of the other planets in our solar system, believes on the evidence that does exist that such things are possible.
Does the report make clear that he believes that people have been abducted? Nope. Does the report suggest that he believes that the sightings and videos that are out there, are anything other than isolated phenomena, planes videographed at unusual angles, or indeed other hoaxes/ misidentifications ? No.
He is making an educated judgement about the possibilities that await us in the wider universe, not commenting on the visitor phenomenon, or any of the attendant hookum related to that subject. Its a mere scientific position based on the logical outworking of the implications of various facts that we already have at our disposal. Its also a standpoint I share.

To the OP you could learn a thing or two from "True Brit"

rewriting the history books within the next year is a remarkable statement...what makes it remarkable is how specific it is in not only mentioning the knowledge bomb about to be dropped, but also the specific time frame...i find it exceedingly hard to believe that such a specific statement could be made by somebody who had no knowledge of future events and was just making off-handed statements...this guy definitely knows what is going to be released, and when...however, all of this disclosure must occur in small increments...there is NO chance that they just announce that e.t. intelligent life forms exist...it will certainly be some sort of announcement about microbial life, and even that announcement will lead to some amount of pandemonium and uproar amongst the foolish orthodox religious masses...

Well, you don't know the question to which this was an answer. It might have been about new science and engineering developments.

After years of getting victimized and misled by careless or tricky UFO writers, how many more times will you think you'll get burned before being a little more careful in believing everything you read from strangers on the Internet?

I've known Charlie for thirty years. He's not the type for subtle hints and semantic clues.

Isn't Gabrielle Giffords' husand taking part in the last manned NASA space mission? Just a strange storyline to go along with this...and please note I believe that either A) Nothing will happen or B) Something will happen but ATS, the MSM, and majority of the population will never have the full story anyway, so it is almost useless to debate.

notice he said things would be discovered that would "rewrite history". Finding microbes on Mars and other heavenly bodies would be a new chapter in history, not re-write it. When you think about what he said, its more profound than finding some microbes and the "discoveries" would change what we know about our history. Thats what re-writing history means.

Aliens do exsist, no matter what the government tryies to tell us, theres nothing moree real the the other life forms in space. theres so much evidencce out there, and it points out that they are waiting for us to get ready and to fight our very own government. the government made an agreement so that we would be able to live the way we want as long as they canr ead out minds... and watch us for experimental perpopes.. but the government went behind there backs and now we are at WAR.

Some of you on here read too much between the lines. How many times in the past have their been revelations about aliens, possible disclosure, end of the world prophecies, all sorts of weird and amazing stories. Yet nothing has ever happened, and the person spreading the lies either makes an excuse and drags it on somehow.

Everybody majors in something. Nobody is useless everyones good at something. Some people major in minor things. Its because the more you repeat a behaviour the more hard wired it becomes, and the more you do it then those syanpses become second nature like driving a car. Reptition truly is king, and in this case anybody who starts screaming out UFO disclosure is because they are hardwired after repeated behaviour to look for anything which they can assume to fill the gaps.

In this situation we have a credible person who has made a statement, and you have been over eager in your interpretation and read something between the lines which does not exist. You have essentially perverted some news into UFO porn.

sorry man I don't believe in that SciFi BS. Aliens exist is as far as I can go. But I'm not into those stories that have absolutely no proof except blogs and people imaginations.
The only proof people have that the aliens exist is logic..This "we are at war with them" or there is a "galactic federation"..
is all BS.

Stories like that make ufology and and the believers...look like crazies, and that's how cults get started.

Critical thinking is important and as you have witnessed. If you readily accept any info without analysing it, and make assumptions it becomes part of your reality. The more you practice it, the more of a reality it becomes to you. Take the guy who believes there is an alien war, he has probably never seen an Alien war himself, or even had privy to inside information. Yet he has managed to accept info from other people as truth and now this has become his reality.

..and the way I see it, these stories provide plenty of 'noise' for any genuine phenomenon to 'hide behind' and never get recognized, or never get paid sufficient attention. If there are folks causing SOME of the sightings, I suspect they are pleased with their unrecognizability -- and maybe even stir the crazy pot once and awhile.

I watched that happen in Russia with the top secret space weapons tests getting reported as 'UFOs' with leading UFO groups STILL maintaining their unwitting -- or halfwitting -- tool status in abetting the coverup.

NOT funny.

I still think what Charles Bolden said is strange. The only thing that would lead to "rewriting history" in regards to life in space would be some extraterrestrial presence coming here in the past up to today. In other words our history as we know it is inaccurate. As I stated before finding microbes or life in space, Mars, ect starts a new chapter in history, it doesn't "rewrite it". Ancient civilizations all over the world have recorded in documents that we were visited. Give them some credit. Just because they were more primitive then us, doesn't mean what they recorded are just stories and fables.

I think Bolden was talking about discoveries of more microbial life forms. Although he admits to believing via his "faith" (yet another way to launch a safe acceptance by the religious sects worldwide) that when God created this Universe he created everything in this Universe and so, he would have placed more beings through out the Universe.

Also he was specifically asked if he saw evidence 'outthere' and not if he has been shown evidence here on earth.

One more thing, if you asked me if I have seen evidence of Intradimensional lifeforms , off worlders, I could honestly say, no, I have not seen 'evidence'... I have indeed seen irrefutable proof, not the same.
